Most experts (both on the left and right) are saying Delta Plus is the last major variant mutation and as long as most countries can vax up to 70 percent of their population, the end of 2022 will likely be "the end of the pandemic for real this time"
If presuming President Biden's vax or test OSHA rule makes it through court, Disney could very well drop restrictions in spring 2022 for the foreseeable future unless some new variant happens (which it probably will so don't feel too optimistic)
Oh most people won't be happy. Unless Happily Ever After comes back. Then they'll be persuaded. Certainly I'll be getting emotional after taking fireworks for granted until a year and a half ago
I am quite excited for Phase 3 possibly being reached tomorrow. But I am a little nervous about the post Memorial Day surge. Call me cautiously optimistic. Finally fireworks can come back.....
I feel like when OC hits Phase 3, don't expect meet and greets and parades to come back immediately. They'll have the green light, but not of it will be there one day 1
When Phase 3 happens Universal isn't even a question at this point. We know they'll go back to pre March 2020 operations. But Disney? That's a little harder to figure out
I'm sure Demings doesn't want to go to Phase 3 immediately but that's only my guess. July seems to line up with what the president has been saying. Maybe we'll have July fireworks after all?
Phase 3 in Orange County will be interesting. ALL MANDATES will be gone. Universal will of course jump on the bandwagon ASAP but I think Disney will also jump on it too judging how fast the attractions relaxed restrictions after phase 2
