  • Yes, it may seem unimportant now (I remember thinking the same thing) but when you're done you'll realize how important they are for building the universe and the story's context...it's one of the reasons why for all these years a Watchmen movie has been SO difficult to get off the drawing board.
    :D
You also have to remember that this was before Graphic Novels were big, it started out pretty early in the 80's before people had ever seen a story where Superheros were real, and had very real problems.

Now with movies such as The Dark Knight and all the Graphic Novels that came out in the post Watchmen-years, people are kind of used to messed up stories. REALLY ahead of it's time. Plus it's very much rooted in that era of the Cold War, Nixon, and Vietnam.

Anyhoo, how's it going? PML Busy nowadays? I don't see many people online nowadays...maybe steerage has gotten so crazy it's scared everybody away. I know Mr. "Toy Story Scores Aren't Real" has reassured me of how stupid people can really be.

    I don't recall that...

Just remember the writer, Alan Moore, IS crazy. So if you don't get something, just keep reading.

    Fantastic! Just in time!
    :D

You know I wish more stories took place in an alternate 1980's...everything would be cooler.

Sorry, I went to bed early last night so I just got your question from yesterday. Ha-Ha, I am just looking at my message from yesterday and I realized that I put Disney instead of history at the end.

Anyway, I have been interested in both history and Disney for as long as I can remember. My first trip to disney was at 6 months old and back then we used to go at least three-four times a year since it was cheap for us. (Dad worked for the airlines so a lot was comped back then).

As far as history, I can remember being eight or nine years old and asking my Grandmother about WWII and the Depression, etc. I was just always a curious sort of person.
Yeah I posted in the PML Indian thread. I dunno - I am a little BLAH with it all. ;) But hokay, honey. ;)
OH hahahaha I don't even remember that pic being taken. When I downloaded the MMM pics it was there and I was like 'O hai pic nice to meet you....'
It's my nickname in the Monorail department, I thought it'd make a good screenname for me, better than ImagineerMMC!
    You bet!
    :sohappy:

They're still playing it during the commercial breaks, and it goes all day...pretty funny. It's the "Celebration" part looped so it never goes into "Promise".

Hope you saw the inauguration on ABC, they played some of the Reflections of Earth music in between commercials...I heard it as I was waking up and thought "Evan's going to freak out."

Look for me at the Turn of the Tide...

Not anytime soon. We'll see. After MegaCon and Watchmen, things should cool down for a little while.
Yeah. MEGACON is coming up, and when you're like me and require a great many things at all time and have no Money, I've learned to choose carefully what my Friends and Family buy for me, even if they offer it. I believe in Money Karma: Avoid purchases and debts now, and good luck will smile on you when you find things you NEED.

Anyhoo, I have been able to get writing much more nowdays.
    :D
