I arrived the day after the race. It was so great seeing everyone wearing their finisher medals (which were gorgeous!) and I had a nice conversation with some folks while waiting for a bus to EPCOT. Seemed like it was a very fun event.
Totally agree with this. My Monday at work was very frustrating, so I took out that frustration at the gym. Only wanted to do 2 miles but ended up doing 3.1 and hit a 9:45 min mile.
Did a mediocre 2 miles today. Left foot was having some weird cramp, outside of the ankle and in the arch. It started at work today and would come and go. Glad I didn't cramp up during the run but I wasn't feeling 100%. See how things are tomorrow.
3 miles today 12:40/mi. Not a great pace compared to what I was hitting a couple of weeks ago but I'm getting back on track. And I did this run on a full stomach after dinner. Blarg.
Sorry to hear about the various toe injuries! I've been told that the bones in the foot break more often than...
Yoga this morning with a good deal of corework. My plan is to get back on my running routine. I've been a little thrown off since I had my race a few weeks ago. Took too much time off I think. Looks like I'll be setting reminders for myself.
Easy run on the treadmill...3.25mi @ 10:55. I actually beat my 5K time from last week by a minute. I guess the EPCOT loops I was listening to really helped me along, totally tuned out and just ran.
Looking forward to yoga tomorrow. Hope everyone has a good rest of the weekend!
Totally just read your report in one sitting. :D Amazing stuff there, Jess!
Your pictures have me so jazzed for my anniversary trip in October. So many things I can't wait to see again! I really loved all of your pictures of the Boardwalk area and EPCOT. Also your Animal Kingdom day looked...
After 8 weeks of training I managed to PR my 5K on Saturday. 34:10! It was a very hilly course, which I was not expecting since I did barely any hill training  and 97% humidity that morning. Took a couple walk breaks but I really pushed it the last .5 I went to a yoga class the...
90 minute yoga workshop in the morning, then 3.1 on the treadmill in the afternoon with a new PR (34:20). Gotta say it was a pretty good day for fitness. :)
Just finished my Peak Week. Average pace 12:22. Longest run was 6.2mi. Hit a new PR for my mile (10:13). Funny thing is I got faster on Monday (9:48). Couldn't believe it!
One more week til race day.
