This is close to what I remember seeing. They added a new raised slat like skin on half the building and what looks like window openings. I could be totally wrong but this is what I remember seeing.

EPCOT New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

Oh, interesting! The one on the lounge has always been there but the one on the sim bay is new. That whole area was a big empty room from ground to ceiling, so the addition of a seemingly random window would suggest they're at the minimum adding a new floor parallel to the 3rd level of the rest of the pavilion in the simulator bays. All guest facing areas of Body Wars are on the second level, so I'm curious to know what's happening there.

Indoor playgrounds are starting to come back online. Any activity here? Possible opening in the next 6 months hopefully?

Considering indoor construction hasn’t started and it’s more storage than anything right now… not sure there’s really an answer to this right now

My guess is 2023-24. Not from any info I've seen it's just speculation. It looks like nothing's happening from the outside, even though it's probably being worked on inside.
So, who knows.

Nothing is officially confirmed. Encouraging kids to touch things in a play area is not something Disney is comfortable risking right now when the little ones can't get vaccinated and delta is getting pretty bad.
If things get under control and children can be vaccinated, I'd imagine the internal target is to open it alongside GotG:CR (sometime in 2022) to be something for the younger set to enjoy on that side of the park. If WDI doesn't run into any major delays, I'm thinking maybe Spring?

Epcot needs GotG and the Rat ride to open ASAP.

Rat is sooner. GotG is later. (late 2022?)
Epcot also needs SSE upgraded.
Epcot also needs more shade and places where people can get out of the weather.
Epcot also needs Play! to open.
Epcot needs a lot. They add one thing, and remove two others.

I'll be in WDW in June 2022. Hopefully GotG is running by that time otherwise not sure I have much interest in going back to Epcot in it's current form
