Because as of now the majority of those vaccinated, thankfully, are those of older age and/or high risk groups. Why wouldn’t they increase drastically?

I mean. It’s not Florida. It’s the unvaccinated people in Florida. And FL says "hold my beer" with 8225 cases today, with is closing in on 50% of the nationwide counts.
I dont think we will see lockdowns again. Even Blue states this time won't lockdown.Again, I am not concerned too much about cases at this point.
If deaths and hospitalizations increase drastically and not just in pockets but nationwide, then we’re facing lockdowns again
This is correct.I mean. It’s not Florida. It’s the unvaccinated people in Florida.
If you have chosen to be unvaccinated and you end up dead from COVID-19 my attitude is the same as Drago's towards Apollo Creed after the fight in Rocky IV.
Just FYI there are places like around Springfield, MO that are experiencing hospitalizations in greater numbers than last winter. It’s causing more burnout stress among HC workers because they thought they had already seen the worst of things. Plus, the demoralization that comes from having to care for people who had a choice. And why they are talking about finding alternate care sites to house patients. The most vulnerable have a high vaccination percentage rate...
Hospitalizations are going up a bit here and there, but I wouldn't expect it to be like this past winter by any means.
If someone thinks I am going on any sort of lockdown again due solely to the choices of the unvaccinated, they can kiss my you know what. Not doing it.
The feds can easily institute a nationwide lockdownI dont think we will see lockdowns again. Even Blue states this time won't lockdown.
Yet, Orange County alone had over 700 of those cases. This is correct.
There are tons and tons of rural areas in Florida and those are the places we are seeing the big spikes in cases.
Most of the big counties here in Florida have higher percentage of people vaccinated.
How would that be done? The feds can easily institute a nationwide lockdown
In the Missouri article I read, at least one patient is still spitting in a nurse’s face, when told they have COVID. Denial is a powerful thing. We’ve heard previously people dying, would more easily assume they have late stage cancer not COVID. Apparently, for some accepting you got “this one wrong and you could have saved yourself” is worse than dying.I promise you every single one of these hospitalized unvaccinated people know at least 3 other unvaccinated people.
How has just simple word of mouth not yet gotten around that hey this isn’t a joke?
What? The feds can easily institute a nationwide lockdown
Believe or not, NJ and NY are possibity not getting hit harder by Delta variant so far as by fall/winter comes as the cases will go way down lower then expect as FDA approval vaccines for all ages soon.I find it "funny" that what isn't being reported is that "normal" COVID rates in states like FL, and many other states are increasing as well. The nation average of Delta Variant to COVID cases is about 58%. If this is correct, and if we want to say FL has it "worse" at 70% Delta, that still means of their 7k cases yesterday, over 2k were from COVID other than the Delta variant. This is still an increase over 2 weeks ago. This also times suspiciously with when just about every state in the nation said, "Well, the CDC said those with vaccines can now go maskless. Those without the vaccine, please wear your mask. But we won't enforce it, or check it, or do anything really. Honor system dudes." And now here we are a few short weeks later. And because Disney/Universal has already gone through the wringer this year, they bought into this hook line and sinker. And Disney was even more cautious than others. They still waited weeks longer than Universal to ease restrictions.
This whole, "Pandemic of the unvaccinated" is just as much the fault of those in charge as those who aren't vaccinated, because not everyone can. But because they don't want to admit they made a huge error, it isn't their fault for making a mistake, it is the Delta variant. Even though the Delta Variant isn't the only cause of the increase....Blame shifted. And now that Pandora's box is open, Disney and others have no real choice but to follow, because it would be pandemonium and bad for business to keep enforcing something everyone else has stopped. They are hurting enough after the last year, they can't afford to alienate a large population base that is just DONE.
