Just to add to that. What also is not helping is the amount of conspiracy theorists out there that keep spewing their rehtoric that this was all a plan and they are coming to take control of us.

THNX stupid me just assumed everybody would have known bases aren't locked down from their communities. This one is simple, compare forward isolated green zone bases to more open community bases. The vast majority of bases aren't sealed away and isolated from the surrounding community. The article mentions Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, a mere 12 miles from the Las Vegas strip and simply part of the community. Hopkins shows Nevada with a 13% positivity and rising. Which just means there's uncontrolled community spread, we don't know where it is within Nevada, and we're not doing enough test/trace/test cycles to identify an isolate the infection. People working at the base have family and connections within the community. They participate in activities off the base. Just like the hospital staff that's picking up infections in the community, even if the procedures on base are minimizing exposure, they're picking it up in the community.
Valentine's day, take your loved out out for a fancy COVID dinner.
St Patrick's day, off the pub for a pint and some singing.
Easter, yup we're going to be back to Easter again.
Local FL elected officials are trying to convince Governor DeSantis. It is an uphill battle.Last month I posted I hoped the US wouldn’t go through what Europe was and is currently experiencing. Sadly the news reports say it’s starting. I pray (for want of a better word) your leaders all pull their heads out of the sand and realise what’s going on. Good luck.
I thought that the stupid rage was having covid parties earlier in the year without much care in the world. It's sad that these events still go on.Even though we're working from home, word is NYC to go on lockdown again in the next week or so. Congratulations to the idiots who made this possible and the idiots defending the idiots by saying it was inevitable. Actually, I will agree with those folks. Idiocy is inevitable.
I could be a little biased, but the parties in my neighborhood have sure ramped up in the last two months.
EDIT: I'd like to add that Thanksgiving and Black Friday are safe assurances that we'll be locked down before Christmas no matter what.
Sounds similar to me, but some still feel what you’re doing now is wrong. That’s where the “what’s so hard about this” comes into play. There’s still some who throw balance out the windowI'm still hung on why people find this so hard. Outside of not traveling much this year I've done everything I have did before. Just now I have to sometimes wait to get into a store and wear a mask. I still go out to eat a couple of times a month and visit my family like I always have. The only other big change is no large family gatherings. We have kept it small.

62 days.... Will we survive? I sincerely hope we all do on both sides of the pond.Last month I posted I hoped the US wouldn’t go through what Europe was and is currently experiencing. And wear the damn mask!As I sit here recovering from Covid19, I cant help but think of everyone else who is recovering and our family members we are quarantined from. We are lucky, we are getting over this and will have some immunity from this horrible disease. However, our loved ones still need to wait for the vaccine and live with the risks until everyone actually takes it.
That leads me to encourage everyone to take the vaccine as soon as they can. The vaccines were developed by our top scientists, not politicians. Politicians are making this political on both sides. If you care at all about your family members and neighbors, you will take this vaccine. Only the selfish, uncaring and unconcerned will refuse to take it.
We were the first U.S. metropolis to completely erupt and the first to demonstrate how to manage it. Gold stars across the board, which makes the current situation absolutely sickening.Sounds similar to me, but some still feel what you’re doing now is wrong. I don’t mean this to be flippant, but I thought NyC was doing well?

Yes, wear a mask. But that alone will not provide 100% pertection. If you are interested you should read my post in the political forum covid page and see the extreme steps I took to avoid it and yet as my wife keeps telling me, I made a mistake somewhere.62 days.... Looks like we will end up worse than you guys. You guys are actually doing something about it. We have some states that care and then other states that are just coming out and saying "We said 5 months ago to wear masks, and today, with unbelievable exponential growth, I stand in front of you to tell you once again to Wear a mask. The end."Last month I posted I hoped the US wouldn’t go through what Europe was and is currently experiencing. Sadly the news reports say it’s starting. Both. People are emboldened to act like it's over, though I couldn't guess where they'd get that idea.Well, that’s why I’m kind of curious as to why y’all aren’t doing well now? Private gatherings? Lax enforcement of masks?
Glad you are recovering. But if you started experiencing symptoms on Nov 4th and tested positive on Nov 5th, why do you thing you got it on Nov 2nd? While some people can develop symptoms that fast, the average is 5-6 days, and there's a reason they say people should wait 5 days after exposure before testing. I'd be looking more at what you did around Halloween, because it seems like your train precautions were intense (but if you were infected earlier, then you did good to protect other people because you could have been symptomatic.)Yes, wear a mask. The reason I believe I caught it on November 2, 2 days prior to systems is based on what I was told by the doctor giving the test. Since I never left my home on Saturday and Sunday with the exception of a car drive, no shopping, the Doctor believed Monday was the day. On top of that when the Monmouth Country health department followed up on my test, they came to the same conclusion. Plus we did nothing on Halloween, very heart breaking for someone who love to decorate and give out tons of candy every Halloween.Glad you are recovering. EDIT: Sometimes I wonder if the people think they did everything right, fully account for everything they do. Like, "I never leave my house." Except, they are taking out the trash, getting the mail, walking their dog. If someone lives in an apartment, then you do cross paths with people more than you might think. While surface transmission is rarer, there was still Chinese guy who sneezed into his hand, touched an elevator button, and then the next guy touched his face.
