Or what.so has this opened yet or what?
So is there an opening date?Or what.
So is there an opening date?
There are two factions kind of fighting on Rat’s opening. Burbank wants 2021 (probably Spring), while TDO (and especially Epcot leadership) wants it in time for the holiday season.
The local thought being that Epcot could use a draw to pull people to it from the other parks (3 day vacationers seem to leave off Epcot More than any other park), and give it a bit of extra capacity.
Corporate sees holding Rat and promoting the crud out of it next year will drive attendance to the resort as a whole the most when held until 2021 when more restrictions are (hopefully) lifted.
Early next year is favoured. As it stands it can’t open until around mid December and consensus is save it until late winter / early spring. So no, there is no date. Just a probable window. So is there an opening date?
Why December as the earliest date? I thought it was pretty much done and they are starting to clear a lot of the walls? I also don't understand why they couldn't open it now and still promote the heck out of it in 2021... while also giving it months of time to work out kinksEarly next year is favoured. Technicalities. Why mod December as the earliest date? I thought it was pretty much done and they are starting to clear a lot of the walls? I also don't understand why they couldn't open it now and still promote the heck out of it in 2021... while also giving it months of time to work out kinks
That is a bummer. Ah well, in typical Disney fashion I read the crepe restaurant will open ahead so that they can give people more dining options...:-(Technicalities.
I hope it doesn’t have anything to do with ride vehicle path sensor pucks in the ground or wifi interference...Technicalities.
I don’t believe so. Any more.I hope it doesn’t have anything to do with ride vehicle path sensor pucks in the ground or wifi interference...
Didn’t they for the Original Ride? Or maybe it’s a good soundalike.I wonder what the odds are of them getting Patton Oswalt back to voice Remy.
I could have sworn he did return to do his voice, at least for the WDS version.I wonder what the odds are of them getting Patton Oswalt back to voice Remy.

Seems like the site that shall not be named... has finally caught up with their reading on these forumsThe site which cannot be named is saying that the opening it not going to happen in 2020 because the interior sets are not complete and the crews that are supposed to work on it are still furloughed. Can anyone confirm this?
Nothing wrong with dissecting design decisions. I've been doing this in regard to this particular project as well. I really hope the third story of the blue building gets flower boxes, because it just seems so off and incomplete. As for the green supports for the chimney flats, I do hope someone realizes these need to be painted sky blue soon. It really botches the sightlines from outside the pavilion.Thanks. Yeah, I truly wasn't trying to be nitpicky, more just trying to sort out why it just feels "off" to me. I think you're right- there is some translation from this being a backstage area to onstage that may be to blame. I'm sure it'll look fine in person from the expected vantage points.
