On layoffs, very bad attendance, and Iger's legacy being one of disgrace

Park hoppers and water park tickets are being sold on next year's packages that's a good sign. We may not have a second wave and things may not get worse. I don't think anyone is unaware of the recession. This isn't our first recession nor our last. It's not rose-colored glasses it's called being positive that we will get through this like we always do. Successful people are not negative,
I am a very positive person and always hope for the best. I also never assume things. I’m hoping for the absolute best so I can reschedule my 2 times canceled trip which is now January, but I also know that things could get worse.

Give it time.
On eviction moratoriums:

If you own a rental property, renter is past due and cannot be evicted. Who pays the mortgage on the rental property?

When the owner of the rental property cannot pay the mortgage, can the bank forclose on the property?

When the bank forcloses on the rental property, can the bank evict the renter?

I guess it depends on where you live. Half the houses in my city aren't in foreclosure.

It is pretty obvious that things are improving with the virus as the doom and gloomers are now shifting to the economy. In a stock market that just had its best August since 1984. Disney stock is at the same level it was last year. Not even going to mention certain companies that are doing record high business. Alas I remember when some posters were predicting people would be dying in the streets since the hospitals would be overrun in Arizona.

Yes the economy is not the best but it is also not quite a disaster as some are claiming.

If it's not a disaster, then the earth must be indeed flat.

Nobody made that prediction. What many did, in fact, claim was that hospitals would be forced to start making painful triage of resources if mitigation efforts were not made.

I do remember another poster who was claiming that each day's new case load in Florida was "good news" somehow, even when it was steadily climbing towards 10K.

Tell that to 18000 people laid off at MGM or the thousands still on furlough by Disney that aren't coming back anytime soon. If that's not a disaster I don't know what is
All I said were things are not dire in my state. I can’t speak for every state in the union. Don’t take things out of context.

Florida is dependent on tourism. People like you have been rooting on these travel bans and shutdowns and now you feel sorry for the people being laid off. You can’t have it both ways.
