Yes, it is visible from the ferry.

UoE/Guardians seems bigger - maybe because it's more visible from the parking lot? I don't often approach the MK from the BLT-angle.

Disney no longer cares much about how things look from outside the parks.

Inside the park, there will be places you can see it.
