The unfinished backside was very visible from the approach road to DAK’s bus entrance and AK Lodge, parts of daks parking lot, and blizzard beach. It was later painted to somewhat Camaflouge it.

I wasn't giving a historical report. I was using the present tense. There is no part of Everest that is unthemed in guests' sight.

Do you have recent pics to dispute that?

It’s not terrible but the views from GDT include the backside of Everest. Via Bioreconstruct:

It is a shame... Disney used to have some really great architecture. While some of it seems a bit dated now, the original pavilions at Epcot (world of Motion, energy, wonders of life, land, etc.) are really fascinating architecturally.

Building a box and then trying to hide it is the new standard.

Edit... haunted mansion is a box that was hidden.

Trees are not the only option to make it look okay or hide it. That’s basically what the building looks like in Shanghai and then they built one of these in front of it

Have you been to Shanghai? You can clearly see the Tron building from Toy Story Land. Its also an eye sore from outside the park. This is a great photo of the Tron Cover - sadly it doesn't cover the show building from every angle

This is an example of where the parade steps out - which is now part of Toy Storyland. For anyone that hasn't been, this is taken from the back side of Peter Pan (another show building you can see the back side of). It would seem sight lines and show arent important these days

Is it possible to hide from inside the park? Yes. Thus, worrying and fretting about the view from Storybook Circus is completely pointless. It's an exercise in getting oneself wound up for little gain. Until we know, we won't know.

So? Back of house views don’t drive the finish on the front of house side.

The side you see from Storybook Circus is the front side driving down World Drive.

Everest does not have an unfinished exterior that is visible anywhere a guest might be inside or outside the park.

I thought you just meant unfinished rears. When Everest was being built, this forum was running about like chickens with their heads cut off because they didn't build the mountain all the way around.

And not very well hidden. You can see it from the Mansion grounds by the tombs.

By the by, while checking to see if there was some kind of checkpoint past the Magic Kingdom turnoff to limit travel back there, I was struck by how much less intrusive the building actually is when approaching down World Drive. We've been looking at aerials and extreme closeups, but the actual view of half the traffic incoming is a lot less than it's looked so far.
