Can't have anything "offensive"
Yes, I can guarantee they’ll go.

I haven’t ridden MMRR, but from my understanding, it’s not really blowing people away. The success of MMRR might also be a factor. Just sayin. If this is at that level plus it will be very popular and successful.
Not sure I would agree with that statement
Not just that, but bringing in Baxter should be unconscionable. If racism and offensiveness were the real reasons of change, wouldn't a nod or tribute within kind of deafeat the purpose of removing it? We took out that ride that might remind you of some incensative things in Song of the South, but here are some things to remember about the thing we don't want you to remember anymore.
She still reports to a whole host of white men from whom she must seek approval. Disney also more prominently publicized that the white man who was inspired by the racist movie is involved.Or else what?
There are no rules here.
Disney put who they thought should be in charge of the project, either for public relations reasons or because the company felt it was the right thing to do. No one forced them to put Carter in charge of this the same way no one is forcing them to build this overlay.
Lol
Because it’s wrong
So you're unhappy with Carter getting the project? Assuming they're going forward with the overlay, who should they have put in charge? She still reports to a whole host of white men from whom she must seek approval. Better purchase the WDW CD or Disney Classics sets now because that song is going the way of tHe Do Do.
Oh no, I agree. Little mermaid is rough sets and designs. Rise of the Resistance, however, is a masterpiece.Interestingly, in Journey of the Little Mermaid, they forgot about the ceiling during the "Under the Sea" song portion of the ride. You look up at all the fun dancing, singing fish and other sea creatures and see the ugly black ceiling with support beams, lights, wires, etc. I often wonder why they didn't do something better to hide that kind of stuff to create a more seamless illusion.

I have not seen you report any posts - please do so. It is a very difficult task moderating this type of thread. You can find the report link beneath each post.
The moral of Song of the South is "You can't run away from your problems. There 'aint no place that far."
It's a lesson Disney has yet to learn.
It’s a start and a step in the right direction. Greater societal and systemic change doesn’t take place overnight. This moment was decades in the making, and Disney met it appropriately."Here is our one black lady designing a ride about our one black princess. Diversity!"
- Bob, her white male boss
In light of the news of Splash Mountain getting re-themed to Princess and the Frog. This person from Twitter made an interesting post on modern Disney Ride design from then and now.

No, I’ll stick to Rise of the Resistance, flight of passage, runaway railway, pirates of the Caribbean, radiator springs racers etc.....Lol enjoy Frozen
The problem is you’re referencing a problematic movie, we’re told. It might as well be Mein Kampf. Any reference to that movie, however indirectly is now verboten.

So when the company said they were making her project lead they were lying?I think it's less about her being involved, than the company parading her around as an example of how multicultural they are, despite who ultimately calls the shots at WDI/TWDC.
