In this case I guess the theme is, "Let's keep the Galaxy safe from hyperdimensional bad guys with an obscure grudge against everyone living it." Also something to do with child trafficking.

Is this for Guardians of the Galaxy or Tron? It is very clearly connected to Disney, so I assumed it would be for one of those two rides.

Interesting. So GoogleMaps is not using the same images as Google Earth.
Google Earth has some updated photos from October.
Usually there are January photos that get updated to the googlesphere about this time. I keep looking for them.

I'm betting Tron opens in 2021, with Guardians opening in 2022/2023.
With economic downturn due to covid, it makes sense to spread these two massive attractions out by at least a year. The 3rd Guardians movie is a way off, and there really is no rush to open the new ride.
Also the 50th Anniversary is really of Magic Kingdom, so Tron makes the most sense for 2021.

They want to bring more people into Epcot as soon as possible. Guarantee it.

So Guardians stays on track and Tron gets pushed, then?
I suppose that makes sense. Magic Kingdom will be the first park to bounce back from all of this, and Epcot has been in trouble for a while.

Everything is likely to be pushed back to some degree because work has been suspended across the board.
Both Tron and Guardians were meant to open next year before the disaster hit.

It was always likely that Guardians would open before Tron.
