DH has to go packed 10-14 days tomorrow. He doesn’t know where yet.

Yep, although definitely a very nice jesture, somethin’ tells me the 2 ladies woulda’ been more pleased if the 1 didn’t hafta’ clean up and coulda’ personally delivered the cookies to her friend and chat a bit...!!!

Well he did have to pack and go.
They are just waiting nearby for Dorian to get out of the way. Then, they can see what damage needs to be repaired. We are hoping it won’t be the 10 days though.

Pretty much.
But, this year has just been so weird, as we usually start gettin’ a few triple digits in May, and I don’t think we had our first ‘til July this year...?
Just so out of the ordinary for us...!

Glad you postponed, and that was a good decision on behalf of your family. The hurricane could have been much worse in central FL, and thank goodness, it isn't as bad as initally thought. Better safe than sorry.
Now I can look forward to your late October fun getaway!
Yep, we kinda’ saw it coming “precaution-wise” regardless, so we just already started planning the other dates based on flight price info.
We’ll just “Worldwind” it after our cruise instead of before...!!!

I was watching the 4 AM national news reports out of the seacoast of NC. Lots of rain, wind, and some flooding. Didn't look good for those people who lived there. Even if your hubs drives there with the other power company trucks, I wonder how close they'd get. I'm wondering if there needs to be at least another day for some of the flooding to start going down, so that trucks can get through.

Hard to believe Southern New Elgand will be feeling the affects by tonight. The Cape has a tropical storm watch but other than rain, it looks like everything is going out to sea.
