Exactly Shernernum!!! I wouldnt have minded if there was a dance party in the park, with the Cars characters, or the Incredibles in addition to say Mulch, Sweat and Shears. I may have even gone over to check it out a few times while I was in that park, in between doing other things such as rides, dining, waiting for another show set from the band etc.. Now with the transition, I am typically not spending near as much time there so of course, things that arent on my must do list, such as the dance parties are the first thing I will skip when deciding what to see and do in that park. I bet there are a lot of people who begrudge the imposition of Toy Story IP and Star Wars IP on what they perceive of as "their" park. That doesn't mean that the entertainment that was at the park originally was better and that the entertainment that will be at the park after RotR opens isn't. It just means different people are being served and that's perfectly normal.

I don’t think DHS was my park..... I just miss the Dhs that was and could have been. I wish we would have gotten more pixar than just toy story land.

I wish we could have gotten a Mickey ride without losing Great Movie Ride.

I wish we could have gotten Star Wars without losing Osborne lights and the tram tour. (The tram tour needed an update and a different direction... but it was a people eater that lots of people enjoyed because of the Canyon).

I was a bit disappointed with Toy Story Land and its entertainment. Disney kept comparing it to Cars Land in California Adventure, but its nowhere near the scale and detail of the former.
I was kind of hoping that the Carthay Circle Theatre expansion that they had would also come to Disney World, but instead of being a restaurant, make it an actual theater. They have an existing façade of it next to Beauty and the Beast, they just need to move it to cover the Beauty and the Beast theater, and change the stage show to Snow White, as a reminder of the Golden Age Hollywood setting.
Disney actually had a Snow White musical show before over at Disneyland Anaheim and it was really enjoyable and detailed, better than Beauty and the Beast for sure.

There are between 3 and 4 Citizens of Hollywood out per day. You are right that there used to be 8. Years ago in the 90s there were even more, the cast was close to 5 times as large as it is now. The other Citizens who would be out on a typical day are in Municiberg performing as the hosts.

It's a shame that Disney is cutting these talented performers. They are one of the best parts of the park, and the only remaining opening day attraction.

While this applies to several parks after attending the 30th anniversary it’s pretty crazy how much live entertainment has been cut in the last few years.

- Daily Parade
-mulch sweat and shears live band with equity actor host
- Hollywood public works - 3 equity actors per day
- Citizens of Hollywood has been cut from 8+ actors per day to I think 3? (Only saw 3 on the day of the 30th... let me know).
- 4 for a dollar acappella quartet for pre-show of Beauty and Beast.

The current Star Wars Show is more of a replacement of former hub shows like high school musical and monsters university.

Some of the citizens are being used to host the Dance party in the incredibles Street. That’s somesthing I guess?

And there’s drummers in toy story land....
But weren’t there soldiers That used to do walk around back in the day?

Hi All, A bit of a bright spot. I was in the Animal Kingdom a few days ago and noticed that there was a dance party with a live band with a DJ stepping in on the bands breaks. It was awesome. They have a ton of characters that come out and dance with the guests and a few dancers as well. It was a very interactive performance and I thought it was really great!!! It is the same exact show for each performance of the band but what they do play, is done very well. It is a little tougher to find out the band times, but I asked one of the CM's who was there with the characters and she got me the times so I could be sure to catch the whole show, which I did in a later performance. I wasn't able to get this on video but maybe someone here has it? Marie

I don’t personally consider a dance party an improvement. I honestly don’t count it as entertainment. The Muncieburg dance party with equity actors hosting has elements that tip it barely into the entertainment category for me. That’s my personal opinion though.

Dance parties are really annoying. Who wants to take their kids to go dance at music you can play at home. If it was something like Mad T Party or ElecTRONica, then it would be fine. But having a dance party with characters moving side to side is not entertainment. It is more like...nothing.

The band playing in between is definitely is an improvement over the DJ dance parties and the addition of the dancers and characters definitely gets the guests more involved for sure. Marie
