Studios entertainment cut over the last few years.

This was one of my favorite live entertainment acts. Great concept, great music, great act. RIP Streets of America.
Absolutely so!! Do be sure to check out the Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix Live Show. I know a few of the Xanderians bear a REALLY strong resemblance to some of the members of Mulch. Also a lot the members of Mulch do play in and around the WDW Area in bands such as Audio Exchange, Anti Idol, Acoustic Edge, and course American Martian which is the whole group just a different name to play in venues outside of Disney. In this context, I can only imagine you mean that they will decide NOT to go to WDW. And this concerns you.
Due to how it is a disservice to them.

2) You are arguing that Disney always makes the right choice from a BUSINESS perspective. This has nothing to do with guest experience.
Correct, yet you and others are making it seem like Disney is poorly run, rather than reality, that you simply don't like what you don't like.

Oh, and I don’t know if you’re unfamiliar with these boards, but Marni is perhaps the most trustworthy source for Disney news around, much more so then Disney’s own press releases or most media coverage.
You would do well not to question Marni in this neck of the woods
Let's test the mob factor for that: Specifically what "Disney news" did I question in my comment to Marni?

I'll remind you, what we were discussing at that point was the fact that evaluating something in transition is pointless and that legitimate evaluations of something must take into consideration changing conditions - nothing even remotely specific to Disney.

I’m actually a bit confused... are you saying we shouldn’t be discussing entertainment cuts? That you agree with the cuts? That you don’t agree with the cuts?

What point are you trying to make.

Due to how it is a disservice to them.

Putting everything else aside, why is it a “disservice” to the huge corporation if someone on the internet mentions how much the quality of the theme park experience has diminished and influences potential guests? Guests do not owe WDW their money, internet commentators do not owe them silence.

Hypothetically, if people voicing genuine dissatisfaction with what is going on in the parks DOES impact WDW’s bottom line... does the decline in quality become a bad business decision?

PS: Disney parks should always be in “transition,” growing and changing. Some guy once said “Disneyland will never be completed.” This “transition” notion is utterly meaningless.

  1. Roaming Star Wars Troopers
  2. March of the First Order
  3. Star Wars Stage Show (the parade that doesn't move)
  4. Extra M&Gs: Minnie (with Mickey), Chewie, Kylo, Olaf, Woody, Jessie/Bo-Peep, movie star of the day in Walt Disney Presents
  5. Green Army Men drum corps
  6. Green Army Men boot camp
  7. Citizens still there despite two widely publicized lay-offs in two years
  8. Holiday upgrades to replace Osborn: Christmas Projection Show, Echo Lake decorations, Sunset Greetings
  9. The fact that there is now a projection show at all, with the Star Wars and movie/animation shows
  10. Incredibles Dance Party with characters
  11. Cars Dance Party with characters
  12. Not to mention all the streetmosphere that will begin with SWL opening
Why do people only remember the cuts and never the adds?

Cue the hateratti who will explain why some of these adds don't count...

Well let me explain why some of those adds don't count.

1. The, uh... hmm. The Green Army Men work as an unpaid internship?

Ok, I've got nothing.

Some of the additions do count for sure. I mentioned the green army men in my op, are they an addition though? They were formerly in the park and then cut, and then brought back.

I’ll say incredibles dance party replaces mulch but it also seemed to take away from citizens of Hollywood.

Star Wars Show at the hub replaces former hub shows (high school musical, and then monsters university).

Speaking of nighttime shows, any hope of full fireworks returning after construction is finished?

Granted. Some of these items either dont appeal to me personally, or are too difficult to see to deal with ( Im looking at you projection shows!!) Unless you are right in the middle of the area where it is being shown, it is just too difficult to see and appreciate. I did like the Sunset Greetings as these were viewable from a number of locations and were much clearer than the other shows on the Chinese Theatre. I havent been to the Cars Dance Party as of yet but two dance parties in the same park is a bit redundant. I'd like to see a live band at one of them, that would definitely attract me more. I think the streetmosphere will be great for SWL but I am sure it will be phased in as if the crowds are anything like I think they might be, there wont be room for that type of thing until it dies down a bit. I still think that great rides are needed and of course a great vibe overall in the park, but live entertainment plays such a great part in this as well. Marie

The incredibles dance party is the only dance party I’ve seen that, imho, was done to a Disney standard. The choice of style / music, introducing the various characters in a sensible way, having fun theme appropriate activities for the kids, and having an overall story (news channel reporting the action, etc.).

The cars dj party in cars land is vaguely theme appropriate, so maybe the one in dhs is ok?

I agree though, live music makes the park come alive. By comparison DCA has 5 & dime, Pixar orchestra, newsboys, and mariachi divas. That’s 4 theme appropriate live music acts. How many does dhs have?

And you can successfully combine characters and live music very well. Check this out: Special thanks to @marni1971 i for the video of the event. It really was awesome!!!
P.S for those who dont know Bernie Briquette and Brimstone was Mulch, Sweat and Shears transformed for the evening!
Start at the 24 minute mark for the live entertainment!!!

Well, in a park that has a bunch of stage shows that's supposed to be the main draw of the park, it doesn't make too much sense to then add a bunch of outdoor shows.

DHS has two live musicals, a sing-along which includes a live comedy act, and a live stunt show.

Will an animatronic DJ count?

Do they have an AA DJ at Cars in dhs? That could be potentially nice.

Once we start talking live shows we also dropped a live show over the years as we used to have another theatre. (Pocahontas / Hunchback). I forgot about that!
