yikes.. not a good idea to be outside for a lot of time.
In the good side.. the humidity levels is.. what? 0%?

No, we NEVER have 0% humidity, but, it tends to be on the lower side during the heat-of-the-day times during July and August because it’s, usually, so dry then...although, we’ve gone at least 2 days past our 3-day average rainfall for July, so it’s a bit “stickier” than most years...
the predicted static high in our hood for tomorrow is 106*, with a heat index of 108.
But, as I’ve posted before, that can vary as much as 10-15*, depending where in Austin you reside...!

Yes we are home. We got home a little after midnight, our flight was delayed for two hours in Orlando which was a little annoying but we are home safe. Well, I am home, Brad had is doing an out of town wedding so he left a short time ago for that, but he did enjoy sleeping in his own bed last night! Kapono is home too, I went and got her from my sister's house early this morning. She gave me tons of kisses and refuses to leave me, so that makes me happy! Hope you have fun on your get-away this weekend.

Rant. My niece is getting married tomorrow, we're not going because we didn't get an invite until Tuesday, which was a call from my mom. She's very upset and called us cheap for not being able to pick up and drive 4+ hours at the last minute. I was going to send a card and a check but am rethinking. btw the last time I heard from her was when she called asking for me to make her car payment. Am I wrong for sending nothing. She also yelled at my mom who may not be going after all.

You are not wrong. Last minute invite sounds like someone RSVP’d saying they couldn’t go and you are a sub for a financial donation they are missing out on. She obviously remembers you since you helped her before. I might send a small check if you want to stay in touch, otherwise I would let it go.

You were not treated properly so it does not seem like you would/should be expected to give anything.

She set the whole thing up last weekend. Civil service and sandwiches at somebody else's house after. I didn't help her out. She had money for electronics and a vacation that month so I was not helping. She's also complaining that one of my steps isn't going due to a sick kid. Wanted to know why the kid couldn't go to a sitter. I think my moms are going down the shore

I did have some fun today we went to opening day of the larger farm market by us. Not a ton of stuff in yet but we had fun, got a few nice items and I wasn't driving so wine tasting The only bad thing is their egg guy retired this winter Guess I'm going to get some at the other one tomorrow

O.k. Do absolutely nothing--not even a card. Hate to say this, but your niece sounds like a bit of a loser. Anyone who "sends" an invite (via ANOTHER PERSON, your mom ), and doesn't even contact you DIRECTLY, with sufficient notice (which is the courteous thing to do)--and then calls YOU CHEAP??!!!--um, DUMP her. Go enjoy your weekend, only with people that appreciate and respect you.

It may depend upon how deep the surgery went, as to the length of the healing process. As long as the swelling is coming down (even slowly), he's on his way to recovery. Remember, youth is in his favor as well. Thinking positive thoughts and good wishes for the both of you.

It’s only been a few days, right? Healing time is generally 6 weeks.

I haven't decided on the donut run, but we may do the farm market together. Some fresh veggies sound good, like some fresh lettuce and maybe even some tomatoes to make a spaghetti sauce.

I wouldn't go to the wedding either with that last minute invite. I wouldn't send a gift either, but I would probably send a card to acknowledge the event. I would send a $0.47 - $1 card, not an expensive one.
