Isn't this also why certain restaurants at MK are always closed? As if the risk of running any location at a loss for a day is worse than feeding people more efficiently or giving them more options?

Yes this is essentially why. And it's not even a matter of any location having a loss for a day, because that really isn't happening...but because certain locations are profitable, but not profitable enough. Therefore, they feel they could make more money by cramming all guests into a crowded mess hall (Cosmic Ray's, for example) rather than spreading out the crowds to varied locations.

It also depends on the metrics they are looking at. Are they considering guest responses to how crowded food venues are or how satisfied they were with varied offerings? Or are they more concerned with the dollars generated per labor hour? (which is a reason we see so many carts and ODV stands...on paper, it looks like you generate a LOT of money per hour of labor).

I'm not sure why everybody gets worked up over Rey. She starts out as a way better fighter than Luke, so she's gonna have an easier time with a lightsaber. Ask anyone certified in more than one hand to hand weapon for stage combat (quarterstaff, knives, etc.) if it was easier to learn their first weapon or their second; they will ALL tell you that their second weapon was easier to pick up. Fighting for years with a staff is going to set you up for better success with a (laser) sword than growing up as a farmer.

As for the Force, I just don't see where you're getting most powerful. Mind tricks and lifting rocks are the easy stuff; telekinesis is the first thing Yoda teaches Luke, and Obi-Wan talks about mind tricks as though you just make a suggestion and then the Force literally does the rest.

Also, girl gets whooped in every fight with a Force user she gets into (barring her very first one against Kylo post-gunshot wound, which mirrors a New Hope, where Luke beats Vader before getting whooped for the next two movies).

Sidenote: @ford91exploder Rebels was great, I just wish it had hit its stride a little sooner.

And here comes Rey never had a lesson in the force in her life exhibits yet total mastery, Whatinthehell is going on with that, The only other force creature who had mastery without apparent training was the rock creature in 'Rebels'.

Thats why at least I think people get worked up about Rey, But young women LOVE her so that's ok too.

That’s what I’m saying, though. To me, Rey seems neither polished nor all that powerful. Does she have a knack for it? Absolutely, but I think the flashiness has more to do with the fact that we have 40 years of tech behind the VFX when compared to the originals than anything else.

Obviously, YMMV, but I don’t see a master of anything when I look at Rey. She’s more like an Empire Strikes Back era Luke with better lightsaber skills and half as much foresight (she completely fails to see snoke’s trap and gets real lucky that Kylo wasn’t in a good mood that day). At least Luke knew he was walking into a death sentence on Cloud City.

Considering its ‘sales per square foot’ that got us things like Sunglass Hut its almost certain its sales per labor hour that keeps restaurants closed

Cad Bane (a bounty hunter for the non-obsessed) picks up either Obi-Wan’s or Quinlan Vos’ lightsaber in a fight during the Clone Wars and holds his own with it. Grievous also uses them as his primary weapons, and as far as I know his Force ability is also nonexistent, so I think it’s only in the creation of a lightsaber that the Force is required.

The only deaths that might be permanent are Loki, Heimdall, the Collector, and maybe Gamora. Everyone else from the snap are theorized to actually be stuck in the Soul Stone. I still felt for it though. They actually let Thanos win albeit temporarily.

Before anyone objects to you bringing up 20K because it closed in 1994, let me quote a MiceAge article from 2004 to remind people of what WDI was doing at the time in California:

"Until ... one fall day in 2004 a little spark of hope arrived on the scene. A sub had been dragged into the lagoon with a "box" built next to it. Rumors abounded, but what was really going on was that Imagineering was doing a test to see if new technology would work to bring a version of Pixar's film Finding Nemo to the submarines.

If all went well, Imagineers could pitch the technology to management and get the funding to go ahead and redo the subs in a manner that that would capture the attention of today's park visitors.

I guess it all went pretty well."

And then compare that to WDW the same year:

Wouldn't have been that hard to send a sub East for testing. Certainly easier than sending MSEP back and forth (twice).

Hindsight's always 20/20, but WDW could have kept its subs and still expanded Fantasyland. If only...
