Never heard of them, what is special about this brand?

Only "name" brand of sandwiches that was overhyped in my case.. was Primanti's bros.
Wasnt a fan, they are just oversized sandwiches.

*edit*
I ask because I'd love to try variety when I'm out.
I still haven't tested most inpark restaurants.

I'm eyeing Germany and Italy on my next trip (EPCOT)

They’re freaky fast delivery for starters!! Seriously though, I have no idea how they do it.lol

I’ve only ever had the veggie or BLT.. I order the veggie sub at least once per week for lunch. Nothing too special, just fresh good ingredients and bread.. which is all I really require in a sandwich.

Another place I’ll recommend if you’re looking to try new things- Tom and Chee. DELICIOUS.
It’s basically any grilled cheese you can think of.. combinations you never would have thought of..and amazing to taste. :)

Their ingredients are all fresh and taste good separate. I don't know if you've ever taken a bite of just the lettuce or something else from a Subway sub, but the ingredients are all fairly bland. Plus JJ bread is AMAZING

Speaking of food. Today I was doing my Mall Walk and had this sudden urge for a Reuben Sandwich. The only place that I have found them here is at the Cracker Barrel. I go there occasionally, but, not that often unless I start jonesing for a Reuben. So I drive 15 miles out of my way and when I get there I look at the menu and it isn't there. In a near panic, I ask the waitress why I can't find it listed. She tells me that they took it off the menu and replaced it with French Dip. As anyone knows a French Dip, although usually tasty, is not a Reuben. Grudgingly, I accepted the French Dip along with a side salad which consisted of, I'm sad to say, a small bowl of lettuce and two microscopic grape tomatoes. And the beef in the French Dip was tough as nails. Not a pleasant experience at all. And actually the worst I have ever encountered at any Cracker Barrel. Now I am not saying that CB is a place that foodies rush to on a regular basis, but, the Reubens were always very good.

Needless to say, I was not a happy camper, but, you will be happy to know that I didn't take it out on my waitress. She did know about my displeasure but I assured her that I wasn't taking it out on her. She said... it's OK, I just work here I don't run the place. For that bit of rapid, witty response, I added a couple of dollars to her tip. See, I'm not always grouchy. Well expect with the manager that I happened to run into on my way out. I also knew he wasn't responsible either and it came down from headquarters, but, I did want to make sure that he remembered to mention my displeasure to the higher ups. He said... believe me you are not the first one to complain about that item.

By way of explanation he said that it is still on the menu in the more northern areas, but, they felt that the south really wasn't into them. I reminded him to remind them that a whole lot of us northerners have migrated to the south. It doesn't mean we instantly decided we didn't like Reuben's anymore and are now addicted to biscuits, gravy and Okra.

Is there any particular planning involved with Disneyland? Like, if my friend, who hates planning, is thinking of taking her two kids to Disneyland for a day in October when they're in town for a wedding, is there anything aside from checking on Halloween Party dates she'd need to do in advance?
That would be a good question to ask @ajrwdwgirl .

There is a Primanti's about 20 minute away from us. We went there once. It is not the original so maybe there is a difference, but we weren't that impressed.

Recently our Fuddruckers changed its menu. They offered quesadillas on their menu that you could customize at the topping bar. It was really cheap as well. It was under $6 when you just got a cheese and it was huge. Littlest dd and I would share. Anyway one day back late last fall it was gone. All I had to choose from was a grilled cheese or a veggie burger, and the veggie burgers are the frozen kind that I don't really like. Well we hadn't been in in 4 months so we went the other day cause the kids were begging. We bumped into one of the workers we knew (because we had been regulars). She asked what happened to us and we explained that since the quesadilla was gone, we just didn't have an urge to go as much. She said that she used to eat them and a lot of people came in to eat them as well. She said it was corporates decision. They are based in TX. Well you would think that a quesadilla would be a good thing in TX. Apparently they didn't sell well in TX, so they decided to remove it. She said they sold pretty well up here in the Northeast. She swears they lost a lot of customers because the quesadilla and the baked beans were removed.

Compared to WDW, there's very little DL planning. Most visitors are local who don't do a lot of planning. I would still plan on reading a guidebook in advance just to know what to expect, but it's not like, "Oh, our FPs are at this time, and then we have this at this time..." Etc. You just kind of walk in with a general idea and enjoy. Oh, and if there are any ADRs you want, book those in advance (about 60 days, but it's not a war getting them like in WDW).

I was actually frustrating my friend last time I went because she asked me, "Are we going to the other park today?" And I shrugged and said, "Dunno, we'll see." She got used to going to WDW with me and me having a master plan months in advance, and there I was like, "Er...we'll see." :joyfull:

Speaking of labtops. I will be in the market for one soon. I was thinking Lenovo. I didn't know if anybody had one of their computers. While I love my Mac and it has lasted for 7.5 years though the last .5 is pushing it, I kinda of expected it to last more for the money. They have also gone way up in price since I bought mine. I don't have any Google accounts so I'm not sure if a Chrome Book would require one.

I prefer a less cluttered desktop and I know that is not Windows but you can't have everything.
We had terrible experiences with Lenovo tablets, so when we went looking a few weeks ago for a new laptop for me, I didn't even look at Lenovo ones. DD bought a Lenovo tablet with her own money and had to send it back within weeks because it kept freezing on her. They "repaired" it and sent it back, taking longer than the maximum amount of time they are supposed to have, and within 2 weeks, it was doing the same thing it did before....sent it back again...they sent her a brand new one. And, again, within weeks, same issue. Sent that one in 3 times for repair before we finally just asked for her money back and bought a Samsung and have had no problems with it at all. No one could figure out what was wrong with the tablet...but she'd turn it off and the screen would still be on, but on like a screen saver mode, and it would freeze so she couldn't turn it back on. The only way to fix it was to let the battery die completely and then charge it back up and then it would work for an hour or so and then do it again. So I don't trust Lenovo at all. If it weren't for the fact that they replaced it and the new one still had the same issue, and then when that one was sent in, they gave us a loaner that was the exact same model and ALSO had the same issue, I would have thought it could be coincidence. But what are the odds that 3 different tablets of the exact same brand and model have the exact same issue? I don't buy it. So no more Lenovo products for us.

That sounds like defective design and tech.

Definitively a bad experience to avoid.

By any chance you remember which brand or model it was?

Because now companies tend to "level up" their offers in lawyers, from cheap crap quality devices, to very high end.

I'm pretty sure that in the high end, Lenovo is almost as good as what IBM was.

Nope, I don't have any idea what model it was. Just that it was a Lenovo and it cost her more than $200, so it wasn't like a cheapie one or anything. I'm really not good with tech stuff, but DH is, so he researched and read reviews and checked specs on different models in her price range. They got the "best" one in her range that had what she wanted. We gave up after the 3rd one because it had been in for repairs more than she had it in her possession, and even when she had it, most of the time she couldn't USE it, so we called it a loss and got her money back and she went for a Samsung that was a little more expensive, but she had gotten a gift card from the store where she bought the tablet because the first one took 3 times longer than it was supposed to to fix because they wrote the serial # down wrong and Lenovo refused to even look at it, so it was sent back after several weeks without even having been looked at, and then they had to send it back in again when they realized the mistake and added the zero they forgot. So she had a giftcard added to the original price that she could spend, plus she had saved up quite a bit in allowance in all those weeks. So by then her price range had increased and she could afford the Samsung that she couldn't afford before. The Samsung is MUCH better.

Damn that sucks!

Good thing she got her money back and bought one that worked for her.

Still, what a waste of time and I bet it was frustrating having to deal with the issue while trying to make the damn thing work!

Lucky girl!! 😁
Sure, but the question is can I even use it? We are planning to go to the beach. It is a more relaxing vacation than Disney for dh. HS will be packed with everyone wanting to go to TS land. Our AP's expire before then and I wasn't sure if we were going to renew. I was thinking of skipping next Flower and Garden and going after SW land opens. Of course it will be nuts then as well. In any case 49 days until we leave.:)
