Okay. There’ll come a point where they’re going to have to start addressing some of these dated areas. It’s a fantastic park, but Potter is making everything else stand out like a sore thumb. They’ll know that.

Okay.
The majority of River Adventure is currently an embarrassment I’ll give it that. Personally I think Toon and MSHI look great but that’s what’s so nice about opinions.I think it’s a fair observation, and I love the place. Counter clockwise from Potter onwards could do with some cosmetic enhancements in my opinion. The expectation levels will always be higher with hot current IP and I think after people have walked through Hogwarts they’d be expecting more from Jurassic Park and Marvel.

You should be happy sooner than later. And I agree about the lack of use for Toon Theatre.I do like Toon Lagoon but I’ve tried not getting too attached as it’s been rumoured to be on the chopping block for years. The rapids are the best I’ve ever been on, the flume is great fun but lacking strong theming throughout (despite the hugely picturesque final drop). The theatre bothers me...I wish they’d do something there even if it’s a small flat ride.
River Adventure is great but needs an update. There’s a fair bit of wasted space and I think the overall area lacks life and excitement that I should feel here. More easy fixes like the raptor Encounter would add a sense of excitement to the area. I don’t want major new rides, just updates to the general feel of the place.
They recently spent a small fortune repainting the buildings with "3D paint". They have the bills to prove it too. The upkeep of the land both seen and unseen makes your point pretty invalid. All they have to do is maintain what they’ve had since 99. Hulk and Spider-Man went above and beyond the contract stipulations.
Last question from me....why is the Potter coaster taking up so much room? Track length? It appears to be taking up the entire plot left behind from 2 massive B&Ms
Trust me, neither care.I haven't been in IoA in 3 or 4 years, so I suppose it looks better after this work? I'll be in there with my son's High School band in less than a month, then I'll see for myself.
My only point regarding Universal and Marvel is how long will Universal continue to promote Disney's IPs? The answer, I assume is until they have something worthwhile to take Marvel's place. It has to burn a little bit for both Universal and Disney for IoA to be the home of Marvel.

Remember that Universal made this deal back when Marvel was nearly bankrupt and this was a couple years before the first Spider-Man movie got the Marvel movies rolling, so they probably got a real good deal. The contract says that the licensing cost can only go up at the rate of the US CPI. The value of the Marvel IP has skyrocketed since then leaving Universal with probably one of the best theme park licensing deals you could ever hope for. If they were to go out and license a new IP they wouldn't come even close to finding something with the same cost to popularity ratio. Because of this, I don't see Universal giving it up until the popularity of Marvel starts to wane, if it ever does.
Thanks for sharing, Martin, that’s really exciting! The majority of River Adventure is currently an embarrassment I’ll give it that. Personally I think Toon and MSHI look great but that’s what’s so nice about opinions.
At the risk of going way off topic surely the next project should be one of the Es planned for Seuss. With Potter getting another E the balance will tip too far away from that corner of the park.
Did I just call the new coaster an E? Oops.
And the next E after that will tip the balance ever further away from Seuss.
I’ll shut up now.

Went to the Disney Store across the river at the Cherry Hill Mall while running some errands last Tuesday. If you walked by, unlike every other major Disney movie release, you wouldn’t have known BP was coming out on Friday. Breaking from tradition, the product for the film wasn’t at the front of the store and was smushed between Star Wars and general Marvel at the back of the store. Absolutely floored at how little Black Panther merch they had. Like it didn’t take up a single island unit; they had the puffy suit, a T’Challa action figure and maybe a child’s tee. Don’t know what it’s like at the other stores around the country, but I just couldn’t believe they completely bungled this so close to release and the website has lots of products, even quality items for adults, like the BP necklace and the bead bracelet, now sold out.Has anyone seen any Black Panther merch outside of the parks at Disney Springs or World of Disney?
Indoor, outdoor or both?Think something closer to 7 dwarves mine train, but if it actually was built to its original planned length and detail (and then some) -- and not to what it wound up like, I think it'll surprise a lot of folks.
Both.Indoor, outdoor or both?

It’s like Frozen all over again.
