AMEN. And save that money spent on renting a place and give out Christmas bonuses. Hubby's work used to, but then they hired a consultant who said to eliminate them, and they did. He just had to fight to get back a raise that they took away for no reason at all. It's a privately owned flooring company with between 50-75 employees.
That is just horrible. I think people would work harder if they had more motivation than just the normal salary. It also helps for the end of the year expenses. I could understand if the company was in the red and trying to stay afloat though.
Thanks! I'm a pretty low-maintenance birthday girl. It's just too overwhelming with all the other December stuff, and since there's not even a week between DS's and mine, I tend to focus more on his and we let him pick a place where we go to dinner with the family. It's low-key and just nice family time. My brother always announces it on Facebook, which I hate....there's a reason I don't have it visible on my profile!! I just want to fly under the radar.
I am the same way. Haven't celebrated my birthday since I turned 40. I no longer age.:);)

Alright, so since last time I was here, finally hit Chuy's. OMG! So good @donaldtoo ! Can't wait to get back! I will not attempt the Elvis Combo solo again, however. That was dinner, and lunch, and some dinner.

Old Subaru (1998), finally clunked out just after Thanksgiving. Bought new car. Last week discovered someone already dented the side pretty good. Still a nice ride but...heavy sigh.

And, thank goodness I came back from my Target run with very few things for the freezer, because on my door step was a big cooler from Omaha Steak. Just said Merry Christmas. I have no clue who sent it, but barely fit in the freezer. What a great problem to have.

And Hannukah starts tonight, still don't have anything ready for that. And 2 weeks till Christmas and Disney, and nothing. Can I just go now?
I want a Chuy's near me.:bawling: No note on the Omaha Steak? Weird, but who cares!:D Bummer about the car. Brand new too. That sucks.:(

Happy Hanukkah!:)

Disney in 2 weeks!!! Yay!!!!:inlove::)

Alright, everyone has an opinion, and I am actually looking for some. As some of you may know, my DS is a music major at college. One of his trumpet teachers was asking him what his plans over break was, and he said he was headed to WDW. Teacher asks when. Long story short, so now DS has been in contact with one of the percussionists for Candlelight. As an aside, she also did the percussion for Little Mermaid, and her husband is also a percussionist for Candlelight. DS told me at her suggestion, we should do a dinner package. He is more interested in the music, than the story. I would rather not spend that much time with it on a short trip. But, now, I don't know. Do I do it, or tell him sound carries?

Well friends, hubs dr. appointment for his ankle went pretty well. The bone isn't fully healed but is at the point in which the dr thought it should be. Hubs still can't drive. Incrementally he can start putting weight on it, 25% this week and building up to 100% in 4 weeks. So we will NOT be travelling to see his family this Christmas. He texted them and told them, and has only heard back from his brother-in-law. The brother-in-law's response is that we should fly to Chicago. He tried convincing my hubs a couple times. He even tried to convince him by saying that he would give up one of the full sized bed so we wouldn't have to stay in a hotel. Problem is the bedroom are all up a steep set of stairs, hubs can't even go up our stairs! But there was no response to hubs' invitation for them all to come up here.

So I think it will be a Merry Christmas for me this year!

Personally I LOVE the Candlelight Processional and have only done the dinner package for it. I think it is wonderful to watch, and it is nice to be able to just sit and watch it. I figure I have to eat anyway, so the dinning package is worth it to me. We have always done the Biergarten as our restaurant in the package, that way we get good food, and get to see the polka band.

Sound carries. Some people really love things like the processional, but it's okay if you don't. There's so much to do at WDW that if it's not something you truly want to do, there's a ton of other stuff you can do instead
