If they can do the Moana redo without including Maui, I think it could be good. I have no desire to see a big robot Maui yelling "You're Welcome" at me.I hate it because I'm a cynic, but I don't mind Moana joining the Tiki Room in Orlando. If they did that in California, however...
He'll just be turned into one of the birdsIf they can do the Moana redo without including Maui, I think it could be good. I have no desire to see a big robot Maui yelling "You're Welcome" at me.
Martin, do they have a timeline for the Tiki Room Project?Moana is still the front runner to join the birds last I heard. If it happens.
It would be interesting if Moana was a live actress in the show. That might be preferable to an animatronic for the little kids. And she could interact with the birds, open the shutters, sing a song about the ocean, etc.
Also easier to remove...It would be interesting if Moana was a live actress in the show. That might be preferable to an animatronic for the little kids. And she could interact with the birds, open the shutters, sing a song about the ocean, etc.
It would be, but you have to take into account what that would do to operating costs.
They could probably pay a performer for 10 years for what a quality animatronic would cost these days.It would be, but you have to take into account what that would do to operating costs.
Right now Orlando’s Adlands biggest changes are likely to be new tenants in the Tiki Room. And maybe the treehouse.
It's an aspiration for the end of 2021.Martin, do they have a timeline for the Tiki Room Project?
Will they still sing the theme song? It's an aspiration for the end of 2021.
One would hope so.Will they still sing the theme song?
There are a few proposals yes.@marni1971 Will there be any changes or updates to Frontierland for the 50th ?
This sounds like exactly something they would do, it would basically be Under New Management part 2. I guess the benefit would be that the original show could come back some day with relatively little effort. One would hope so.
You missed my joke. I was talking about "preserving" based on the fact that it doesn't move and is well glued to his position with a strobe. The story of Everest is that the Yeti isn't happy about the environmentally-harmful railroad we humans built into the mountain. So when we venture into his home, he rips up the track, then tries to attack us. It is very much about conservation. If only there were a Yeti in South Dakota...

Most of DAK is like this, and it adds up to form a very strong park.
May Quetzalcoatl have mercy on your soul.
Finally someone got it! lolSomewhere in there is a joke to be made about the idea of conserving the Yeti by rendering it motionless, but I'm too spent tonight to come up with it, LOL.
