I first joined WDWMagic when my regular Disney site got to be more than I could bare/bear at the moment. That site was a daily deal for me, and I was there for a dozen years. I still read/post there, but I just have lost respect for their leaders. Not necessarily for their members, because I made a lot of friends there.

I like this thread. As what was mentioned above, all topics are welcome as long as they are treated cordially, which I find they have been. I don't read every word that has gone before, and I admit to not using the "Like" system as much as some others. However, I check this thread every day, and I look at New Posts on the site daily as well.

My first love is Disneyland, and WDW is a close 2nd.

I had the iPhone SE, before recently switching to the iPhone8. I found that when I changed my plan to TMobile One, I was saving enough money to pay the payment on the iPhone8. iPhone8 has way more GB than my previous phone, and now everyone on my plan has unlimited data. We are all liking that a lot. Cell phones have really come a long way since my first Motorola Phone back in 2005.

We're celebrating my dh's birthday tomorrow night and the boys want to make him stuffed peppers and a cake I just deep cleaned my kitchen

Amy Chang and Lisa Mills were brilliant musicians in their mid to upper 20s. They became friends easily as they both performed regularly with the San Francisco Symphony. Amy (age 25) plays the harp and Lisa (age 27) is a cellist. The SF Symphony had a 8PM performance scheduled for a Sat. night in October. The musicians contractually had to be there by 7:30PM.
Amy and Lisa decided to stop at a Dance Club prior to their 7:30PM obligation. The problem is they had their harp and cello with them and the neighborhood was kind of sketchy. They got the Club's owner Samuel H. Clamb to agree to keep their instruments in the dance club's storage. That problem being taken care of...the girls dance...they eat mozzarella sticks.....they dance some more....they eat chicken wings....etc. etc. So...all this takes place and Lisa starts looking at her phone a lot. Amy asks: "What's up?" Lisa points out that "time is ticking and we better get going soon." Long story short....Amy doesn't want to go just yet but eventually agrees to go to the ladies room and meet Lisa out front. Lisa gets her cello and goes to the car and pulls up in front of Clamb's Dance Club."Come On!! Come On!!!" Lisa calls Amy: "We're gonna get fired! We have to go NOW!
Amy is still another 2 minutes and then she flies out the dance club's entrance and gets in Lisa's car. Lisa floors it and heads to the parking garage for the San Francisco Symphonic Hall. Lisa pulls in to her spot at 7:37PM (oh dear...already 7 minutes late) and they go to the trunk to get their instruments.
Oh no! Lisa had her cello ...but.. the only thing Amy had ....was..... a look of panic!!

All this talk about Chuy's made me look for a location. The nearest one to me is 85 miles away outside D.C.! I may find a way to get there though since it sort of is on the way to some cheer competitions this season, and my dd6 loves Tex Mex, especially chips and cheese.


Although, I have to say that Lundberg's brown rice cakes with salt do taste good with hummus. (Please don't throw stones!)

OK...I won't throw stones. I found someone to do it for me.

That sounds both exciting and fun! and you haven't shared the detail of said trip why?

Out of Galveston.
Costa Maya, Belize, and Cancun are our ports of call.
Also, I forgot (hey, I don't plan these things ) we're also doing a Carnival cruise next summer out of Galveston. Ports of call are Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cancun again.
The Christmas cruise is all 6 of us (SonIL included).
The summer cruise is all 6 of us, plus MIL, BIL, niece, and one of DWifeys aunts.
They should both be awesome cruises...!!!!!!!

I loved first class, but much too expensive. Lot's of leg room, and the breakfast was okay. Everything had milk or cheese . Like, @figmentfan 423, it's hard to find food without stuff like lactose, milk, etc. I wish more food manufacture's would think about alternatives. I did get very mushy fruit. @Mr Ferret 88 food looked so much nicer. United has a long way to go, to catch up with other air lines. Just my opinion.

We were bumped up to first class a coupla' times back in the late 80's when SisIL was a flight attendant for American Airlines.
It was amazing compared to coach...!!!!!

Wow. That is so different than the two new locations opened up here. I actually like the Warrenville location opened here better than the Schaumburg Location we dined at. More me. Both polar opposites. Schaumburg is a large urban area in the Greater Chicago area. Warrenville is not really Urban. It is a better fit design wise for me.

Both are more contemporary which isn't me, but Warrenville's is more us given the two styles up here. I'm more the Texas type version. It reminds me of the abandoned Animal Kingdom original style of buildings now lost to the trending earth tone buildings taking over both AK and Future World/Epcot.

Yea, the original location in Austin is almost like a Cheech & Chong kinda' thing!!!!!
I can definitely appreciate the different styles for so many different locations across the nation. Attention to detail...plus, it sounds like their food quality is following through everywhere, as well...!!!!!

You ca leave a christmas tree up all year round also . . . or so i hear

Around the corner from my DD apartment is a 2 million dollar home. It took the dude 5 years to build cause dude was a Pain in the *** and every general contractor quit and ultimately the subcontractors wouldn't work on the home either. AnyWho they moved in around this time last year. They put up a stunning Story and Half tree in the center of the bay window. Mind you still today on the first floor the only furniture they have is a dining room table and patio furniture. There are not window treatments yet on any windows any floor so...no need to take the Christmas Tree down right??? Not getting in the way??? We came home from Disney in midish September....the Christmas Tree was down. Why bother now? Wonder if they will put it up again.

They can get away with a fully lit tree through September because it is inside the home. We now have ordinances in our little hamlet that any holiday lights or decorations can be up no longer than 6 weeks. Amen. We all did get a waiver a few years back when we had a blizzard and then a month when the temps didn't go above freezing. The first fine for week one is $100. Week #2 is $500, week #3 $1000....it has defined the zoning laws to true seasons.

I love hummus. I just buy store brands, and they all work for me! One time, a woman at work (she's from the MIddle East), brought in some homemade hummus. It was very good, but to tell you the truth, really not much different from what I buy in the supermarket.

Yep, same here, LOVES me some hummus...!!!!!
