Thats basic, but not everyone has that luxury. I had to use my CC's to pay part of my processor update.
But I always envy the rates of American cards, my aunt says she gets 0% and 1% rates on almost all her cards, and even if she doesnt pay.. she can refinance to 0% later on.

Here in my country.. the minimum is 18% annual rate, most cards over in the ridiculous 50% rate.
If you ask for a smaller rate, they will laugh at you.
I never pay interest. Here, there are financing options for larger purchases. I have Paypal credit, so if I have a purchase of more than $100, I can take 6 months to pay it off without interest. I did that for my airfare to SC in December because in summer, because of vacations and such, my spending had gone up, but I had to sacrifice pay, so my income was down. I deferred paying for it right away, so it'll get paid for this month and next now that my income is back up to normal.

I probably could have paid it off all in one month, but my goal has been to spend less than 50% of what I make, and it would have been pushing it had I paid it all at once. But now we're back to that. I paid all my bills and still stuck two paychecks into savings this week.

Ah, adulting.

I feel so bad for my supervisor. Her mother has had health problems, her husband had surgery, and now this whole thing has happened with her sister. That poor woman. And her only vacation this year was a short trip to the beach.

At least at work they've reassigned some of her responsibilities to a new manager who I really like working with. That should help with her workload; in addition to all of this, she was working 50+ hour weeks. Which, to be honest, is not healthy for her, and it's hard to work for someone whose stress level is through the roof all the time.

Wow that does sound like she has had a tough road lately. :(

I have a 7plus and love it. For me I purchased it because of the DSLR type camera. I had been planning on buying a camera separately, but a good one would have cost as much as the iPhone or more. My previous HTC took lousy pictures as did the Sony phone I had before that one. I ended up needing to carry a phone and a separate stop and shoot camera. So I killed too birds with one stone by getting a phone and great camera in one. So I look at it as I saved a lot of money. I will probably keep the phone for a bunch of years. I am not apt to switch it because I really love it. The water resistance is a big plus too.:)

I still have an iPhone 6s, and it's plenty fine for now, although I hope to upgrade soon enough.:)
The camera is good enough, and I love having a computer in my pocket...99%+ of the time (including right now) I'm on this site from my iPhone...! :)

I told a friend about my irregular heart rate during my surgery. She told my grandson's girlfriend that I had "Heart Disease". Poor girl spent all day today worrying about me. Cheyenne is my grandson's girlfriend, and she is a real sweetheart. She has lost both of her two grandmothers recently, and now calls me "grandma". I told her what happened to me during surgery, and she now understands. I assured her that I am going to be checking with my regular doctor in the very near future about this event. I'm pretty sure I eased her mind. It's funny how some people jump to the absolute worst conclusions from the mention of a problem. Not funny at all when they pass along that false info to another person.

Rant alert, here it comes...(it's about the coworker I can't stand)

My supervisor has been on leave for a while to take care of her sister. She came back two weeks ago, but was basically remote. We got word Monday that her sister had passed away.

Yesterday, I got a Skype message around 9 am from my dreadful coworker. "Is your supervisor working from home today?" I walked down the hall to talk to her, and quietly told her that my supervisor's sister had passed away the day before and she was on leave.

My coworker's reaction? "Oh, sh*t, I wanted to ask to use her office."

That. Not, "Oh my gosh, that's terrible." Not, "Oh, no. I feel so bad for her." Which could have been followed up with, "Well, I hate to ask this, but we have a manager from Mexico who needs some place to work. Do you think she'd mind if we used her office?" Followed with some expressions of sympathy. Nope, just, oh darn, wanted to use her office.

I do not understand some people. Work is not more important than family; get over it. Ugh!

Some Humans just have Ugly Souls. :(

Sympathy like for both of you. I've been lucky so far older ds 3 ER trips 2 times just a couple of stitches and 3rd time sprained wrist but my younger ds :mad::mad::mad::mad: just one trip but is was a doozy both bones in his wrist were broken from a monkey bar dare. At least he did it on the day the trauma orthopedist wasn't busy or he would have been in the hospital a couple of days. He got released just after midnight. Had he had to wait for a regular orthopedist surgery would have been done the first thing the next morning and would have had a one night stay.

Oy. Out of all the ER trips we never had to have the kids have surgery. Stitches, butteries, casts you name it.

Over the course of 15 years (my kids being 5 years apart) I was labelled as a frequent flier with my kids in the ER Rooms. To the point that I alternated between 2 hospitals. I actually took accident reports with me because all but one time the injuries happens while in school, sports or daycare.

Only once was it my fault and in my care. Somewhat. My DD a toddler. I let the Pup in, closed the kitchen door and dead bolted it. Turned around to see my DD with her silently screaming (non verbal kid) She poked out from the other room adjacent to the kitchen and stuck her fingers into the hinge portion of the door while open. Who the heck knows why? Face red as a tomato. I unbolted the door and her fingers were flat as she pulled them out. Tight fitting Oak Door, 60 year olds and then watch her fingers pop round again. Neighbor took ManChild, me off to the ER room. Nurse taking basic info. Me: 'I did it. 'I slammed her fingers in door jam.....blah blah blah'...between sobs. That time they didn't question the incident, I guess my sobbing confession laid it out pretty clearly. Every other medical issue I dealt with I was calm and collective. When I dead-bolted her fingers-just a mess.

Memories that stick.
