Do you honestly think that something that has been around for almost 40 years already is a "fad"? Really? And with multiple movies coming out over the next several years?

I'm hoping they don't allow strollers in the area, all strollers need to be parked outside of the land lol

the influx of strollers at DL in recent years has become a serious problem in the context of immersive storytelling. I'm hoping they're working on a way to hide the stroller parking areas in SW Land.

Nothing says "the future" like a sea of strollers piled together in the middle of Tomorrowland.

So I assume most have seen pictures of these really sad cabanas popping up at MK at WDW:

Welp...I just saw this on the WDW side of the board:

lentesta: So what I've heard is that it's a test in the MK, and soon in Epcot. If it's successful, planners have already set aside 1.5 acres in DLR and in DHS's Star Wars areas for more substantial versions of them.

Yikes

And the worst thing is the double wide strollers.

This weekend a lady had a large stroller parked in a walkway while watching the mini calvacade for Rlena in DCA. Guests couldn't move so I grabbed the stroller and moved it about three feet into an alcove about near her. She flipped out and moved it back right behind her blocking the path again. This poor man with a long title girl needing to go to the restroom couldn't go by so he also pushed it about a feet and she started yelling. She literally put it back in the middle of the path and held it like it was gold and didn't move or let anyone through until the show was over. It is was not like she had anything in it.
When the calvacde was over the girl that needed to go to restroom was crying and this lady called her two kids to get in stroller. I swear this kids looked like they were 7 - 8 years old. I'm sorry but at that age you shouldn't be pushed around in a stroller

I wonder if there are restrictions that Disney could impose on the size of strollers allowed in the parks without serious backlash from entitled monsters like the lady you describe. Some strict usage rules enforced by park security to along with size restrictions would be good too.

I'm guessing that if the airlines can restrict the size of a luggage maybe Disney can restrict size of strollers for safety reasons at least in parks like Disneyland where walkways are not very wide and strollers are starting to take up huge sections of the park.

It's too bad Disney can't just limit or remove the rental of them as well although that might backfire and guests might bring bigger ones from home

I think Disney should remove the horns from the motorized scooters. I remember walking behind a guy in one that would not lay off the horn.

Disney could absolutely ban strollers over a certain size on health and safety grounds. They could put up a pass through device at the security check (much like the measuring device at airlines for carry-on luggage). If the stroller is too big to roll through the pass through, guests can't bring it in. They can then bring it back to their car or hotel and they can rent one of the small strollers Disney provides.

But Disney won't stand up to that particular backlash, so I doubt there will be a solution to that issue.

I agree, but the backlash, bad press, general wailing, & legal challenges (which Disney would win, but still) makes it unlikely to happen.
Good way to thin out the crowds a bit. But are these the people you want in the park spending money on retail and food? Or do they smuggle in their food using the stroller?

Maybe they should do an even exchange, if someone has a stroller that is too big then they can tell the guest that a Disney sized stroller would be provided at no cost.

They can use safety as a concern since those big strollers are usually filled with things that hold up the security process

Brand new update video!
This is the second time I've been there the same day as our videographer friend and missed her!!

Is it just me or is there quite of bit of land being used just for Berm on the south west portion between both entrances and also towards the side of the fantasyland theater?

Seems like maybe they could have integrated more buildings in those large areas that could be used in the future and make them so that they were strong enough for soil over them to create the Berm.

I'm guessing they did this so they could have a pretty tall Berm to hide the Fantasyland theater. I would have just removed the theater already and prepped it for a large attraction.
I don't think I ever see that theater full anymore and I don't think they have many show schedules. I'm sure they can build something that would have greater capacity per day for guests to enjoy

I'm pretty sure the venue's days are numbered, but replacing it isn't a priority right now.
