The magic paintbrush was kinda cool, but it was FULL of glitches. we saw a few times and every time there was some sort of hiccup with the animation and timing matching, or the whole thing freezing up.

If these cabanas actually make money, the plan is to have themed cabanas in Star Wars land on both coasts according to Len Testa.

Well I hope they fail miserably. The a**holery on display here in just incredible.

Well, the lesser coast is shutting down their paddlewheel boat each day to do an upcharge viewing event for their parade.

Maybe DL will get an upcharge desert party for the Twain for Fantasmic 2.0. Why pay Cast Members to fill the boat when you can have guests pay you?

Disney pulled this permit today. Is the Battle Escape or MF ride attraction #2?

Disneyland - SW - Frontierland Expansion - Bldg #10030/Attraction #2 - Foundation/Vaults: 3,466 sq.ft trench level vaults for maintenance, concrete walls. Ground Floor Foundation includes footings, grade beams, stem walls, maintenance trenches and waterproofing of trench walls. Underground plumbing and electrical within building.
Guessing its BE. Not entirely sure why the MF ride would need such extensive underground work for what's essentially a simulator.

A little off topic and im sure there will be a new thread started sooner or later but did anyone see the news of expansion for Hong kong Disneyland which includes art for their new Addition to their Castle and Arrendale area as well as Marvel area.

I wonder if that same Arrendale area is the one rumored for Disneyland near Star Wars land. Also wonder if the Avengers attraction is one of the attractions coming to DCA. IF so then the art looks like something that would have worked great in tomorrowland. Im hoping its not the same design for DCA.

The art shown is for an Ant-Man retheme of Buzz.

Strange how much investment is being funneled to that park when it doesn't seem to perform all that well. What's the deal?

They also released art for the rest of Marvel land. A huge multi level structure that will be themed to the Avengers. It's suppose to be a huge attraction

The Antman returns is just a small part of the Marvel area and is suppose to be done much sooner than the Avengers

There's a lot at play. The majority owner is Hong Kong SAR government, and they're, to put it lightly, not pleased at the attention and money diverted away from them to Shanghai. Even with the recent park expansion (Iron Man, Toy Story, Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Manor), HKDL just isn't moving the needle. It hasn't caught on with locals the way it should have and with Shanghai on the map they are less of a draw for international guests looking for a Disney park to visit.

The whole castle transformation project makes this painfully obvious that this is a giant peeing contest with Shanghai. Disney does not call the shots here, and left to their own devices, would no doubt invest as little as possible in the park and let it hobble along like they do with their own troubled parks elsewhere. The Hong Kong SAR is not interested in hobbling along - they forced the recent expansion kick and are behind this one as well. They're funding 53% of the $1.4 billion bill, with Disney holding the bag for 47%.
