I'm wondering if that new rockwork could serve a double-purpose as a backdrop for the Rivers of America? Obviously concept art isn't realistic, but it looks tall enough to be visually obtrusive from Frontierland if the style is too sci-fi. Star Wars is no stranger to using nakedly real-world geography in the movies (the good ones anyway), so I'm wondering if, in the final result, they could explain it as some Arizonian or Utahan cliffside, sort of like how Mount Prometheus cleverly blends into everywhere at TDS.

Well, they have to hide the Muppets somehow. This totally makes me sure that Disneyland's will be the better version even if they clone if exactly, it is still missing the environment around it. You will probably see the Muppet hot air balloon in there. They will call it a hot set and we will see the unfinished rock walls as we enter. It's good Disneyland isn't getting the crappy version.

And you know all this for a fact do you?

The Muppet ballon is actually rumored for removal for this very reason.

Brand new update video!
This is the second time I've been there the same day as our videographer friend and missed her!!

Another great video. When you are on the Disneyland Railroad as it goes throught its new route, you are going to get some great views of Big Thunder Mountain and Frontierland. All views that were previously unseen from the train or even the Big Thunder Trail walkway. This is a huge improvement for the railroad experience, making it far more entertaining. Thanks Chewbacca!

So...am I the only one who feels underwhelmed by the concept art? To me it just looks like a bunch of rock work and domed structures...and yeah, I get that they're going for a new "world" so it's not really based off anything specific...I don't know. It might be too early to tell.

Decided to try to simulate what the view would be like by using the model at the front tier tower of Disneyland Hotel. Pardon the Christmas music.

So what were you expecting?
Honestly, I'm not even sure... something more Coruscant-y?

Well look at it this way, when this Star Wars fad thing is over, they could turn it into Western River Expedition by just retheming the buildings and removing the ships.
Do you honestly think that something that has been around for almost 40 years already is a "fad"? Really? And with multiple movies coming out over the next several years?
