Don't worry I bought plenty of the other souvenirs too. I am really glad I didn't have to see a doctor. Our health insurance changed while we were on vacation and I have no info here. I assume it is in my mailbox at home.

When you get home tonight, I hope you take some Advil or other NSAID. You'll feel a lot better in the morning, if you take something tonight to calm down the nerves in the injured area. Sorry you fell, that's awful. No one is supposed to fall while in the Happiest Place on Earth!

They both have Jack Sparrow in the same places, but the DL version has several additional scenes that the WDW version lacks, plus two drops instead of one (since it goes outside the park). The additional scenes don't have Captain Jack Sparrow.

I've never seen the movies either actually.

Yep, and MKs PotC doesn't have another drop (unless they would've designed it to take you back up and then drop you again ) because of the Florida water table. MK is built 14' above existing grade from all the fill they dug out to make Seven Seas Lagoon.
Provides for the utilidors, but, also means PotC only got the one drop.
I love both attractions, of course, but, definitely prefer DLRs version.

I've actually seen all the movies at least once.

Bunny rabbits munch on lettuce in the garden. Does that mean that people shouldn't eat lettuce?

There are many that think that as well. I do see where that is a hard one to justify, but, I'd bet that most people don't really want to chew on a big old handful of hay, but, I could be wrong. Lettuce is also a vegetable whereas Tofu is a jelled something made out of soy, probably accidentally formed into an edible thing by a great snake oil salesman, that is neither appetizing or able to satisfy on it's own without some outside addition. I'd also be willing to bet that if you left a big plate of Tofu out in the garden, it would still be there in the morning.

I know that I have carried this conversation beyond a point where people will automatically know that I'm just funnin with them. So in case I have already crossed that line, even though you couldn't force feed me Tofu, I don't have a problem with others liking it. Don't understand it, but, I don't have to understand everything.

I hope you enjoyed them. We didn't go to the organized fire works display this year, the area was closed to construction, and the new place only had enough parking for one hundred cars. Usually 5,000 cars show up. What was the city thinking?

I watched Magic Kingdoms, 4th of July Fireworks on a live stream last night. That is absolutely as close as I have to get to them to enjoy them. No crowds to fight, no traffic or mosquitoes.

We cheap'd out and paid a minimum fee for the photographer and then kept the proofs as our wedding album. I still have them and they still look good after 44 years. They lasted quite a bit longer then the marriage did by 15 years and counting.

Yea, we weren't exactly flush with cash at the time either.
DWifey's mom paid for her dress, her favorite aunt made both wedding cakes, my folks covered the catering, and we were gifted $1,000 by DWifey's grandfather. We took care of the rest.

I watched Magic Kingdoms, 4th of July Fireworks on a live stream last night. That is absolutely as close as I have to get to them to enjoy them. No crowds to fight, no traffic or mosquitoes.

I was watching the Macy's show, the Boston Pops Esplanade show, and the PBS Capitol 4th show--all at the same time last night! I kept jumping around stations with the remote. I'm fickle about my 4th of July specials on TV!

When I grew up, we had one phone, and it was attached to the wall in the kitchen. My parents allowed each of us (4 children) to have 15 minutes a day to chat with our friends. How things have changed in (more than . . . ) 7 years . . .

Yep, I remember when all we had was one black rotary desk phone in the kitchen.
We usually contacted our friends by either seeing them outside or goin' over and knockin' on their door.

Wow....with 500 employees? That's HUGE!! The company I work for grew like that too. Not sure how many people we have now, but when it started, it was the owner working out of her attic and pretty soon she had to hire a couple of people to help, then she had to get bigger premises and now we have a couple hundred people and a 2 story massive warehouse and she went from struggling single mom to millionair entrepreneur and then had to sell off more than half the business so she would have time for her kids.

Cool! Financial freedom can sure be an awesome thing!

Yeah, I think anything depends on where you live, really. I remember when my choir went to NYC to sing in Carnegie Hall, the same McDonalds value meal that I got in Wyoming for less than $4 cost almost $7 in NYC. My apartment that was nothing special when I was in my last year of college was $400 a month, but in California, that same place would have gone for over $1000. When husband and I got married, the average wedding cost between $20,000 and $30,000...Ours cost us closer to $6000. Granted, we were paying for it ourselves and trying to keep costs down, but the same wedding in a big city would have cost us 3 times what we paid. Venues and caterers are much more expensive in larger urban areas. The overall cost of living in Wyo is way less than back east.

Yep, I've been to NYC 3 times (twice with DWifey - the first time was before I knew her)...sticker shock every time...!!!

Funeral arrangements have been made for my stepgrandfather. The graveside service is Saturday morning; the religious service is the afternoon. Entire family is coming here Thursday afternoon into the evening. It'll be nice to see everyone, but I wish it were under different circumstances.

Just have one more day of work to get through...

To give bats something to eat. Along with passing along Malaria and Zeka Virus among other things. Wonderful little creatures. Come to think of it... let that bats starve.

Yep. Out the door we went when we were kids. I do remember being a teen though and it coming to a head. My Mom could talk to my one Aunt for hours. When I had a job that was pretty consistent as a teen I got my own line in my room. It didn't cost too much as it was the 2nd line into the house and all the calls were local. Problem was my folks would answer it and were bad about leaving messages. It was a little Princess phone and I learned to turn the ringer off when I left the house.

I think of how much easier it is was/is for my kids, they send a group text and in a minute or two the whole group knows where they'd be heading. Kinda nice.
