Funeral arrangements have been made for my stepgrandfather. The graveside service is Saturday morning; the religious service is the afternoon. Entire family is coming here Thursday afternoon into the evening. It'll be nice to see everyone, but I wish it were under different circumstances.

Just have one more day of work to get through...
Hang in there! Think Disney thoughts to get you through.

Yea, she had some issues earlier with stuff before with checkin' and such (not filled in on all the details), and then the meal mess up. But, she said the flight crew has been beyond nice, she loves their adorable accents, and there is a lot of green on the plane...she's flying Aer Lingus. :)

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aer_Lingus

Around 1994, I flew on Aer Lingus. It was a huge plane (had to be the largest wide-body aircraft I've ever been on) and it was packed, both to and from Ireland. Still, I don't recall it feeling cramped at all. On the flight over, they showed a silly Dennis the Menace movie, and we were all laughing. (I went with my friend's family, and there were 6 of us.)

Aer Lingus has a very good safety record. Years ago (and this may or may not still be true), Aer Lingus mechanics did all the mechanical work on Aeroflot planes. That's right, at that time--the Russian airline sent their planes over to Ireland for maintenance/repair--don't have a clue if that is still the case. I recall on my trip that (either at Dublin or Shannon Airport, don't exactly recall which one), I saw a bunch of Aeroflot planes parked there. I had never seen an Aeroflot plane before (I think at that time, and maybe still now, they only flew into Washington, DC, and "maybe" LAX, too?). So I asked a crew member on the way out of the plane about them. I was told that Aeroflot planes were flown to Ireland, specifically, to be serviced there by Aer Lingus mechanics.

When you get home tonight, I hope you take some Advil or other NSAID. You'll feel a lot better in the morning, if you take something tonight to calm down the nerves in the injured area. Sorry you fell, that's awful. :( No one is supposed to fall while in the Happiest Place on Earth! :banghead:

Thanks, I Did take some Advil last night and went to bed as we got home at 11:30. I am stuff this morning, I told hubby if we were still in Disney we would have had to have a water park day to relax.

I finally watched the first one on Sunday night.

Did you like the Pirates movie?

Oy. I'm sorry you fell.

My God DD is down there right now and she fell the other day boarding a bus during a storm. It was wet and wiped out getting on the bus. I worry about her. She went down with a sprained ankle/wrapped and twisted the other other board the bus to the studios and scraped up both knees. Rented a EVC, final straw. She has a 4 year old, had two miscarriages last year and is now just past her first trimester....falling isn't what she should be doing. Her post was she let her legs take the impact and didn't squish the little person. !

Hope you are OK in the morning when you wake up

Yeah falling is not fun. Glad your God dd didn't have anything bad happen when she fell. That pavement can get slick, I had a couple near misses myself a couple days ago, probably during the same storm.

I love the daring of this commercial and I'll bet that kids love it. Heck, I can't help but laugh when I see it. A little crass, but, in the world we reside, we need all the humor we can get. Besides it's only crass to those that are unable to laugh at life.

That is kinda a pointed statement. We all define crass differently, define for our children and ourselves what is acceptable. Children learn different behaviors from many sources. This video in particular was unique as it is aimed at young children/students for a school supply. I'm not sure I agree with the thought that if I find this crass that it is on me. While I am a big fan of humor and enjoy a good laugh not all behaviors are laughable. We all are raised differently and with different acceptable or not behaviors. I was raised as were my kids about bodily function humor being taboo.

I told the story on the 4th of July of 5 boys a couple properties down belching loudly through a meal that I could hear in my yard. While some might find it crass, me one of them, the boys found it hilarious. Likely our school lunchroom monitors and teachers will not find the behavior a laugh at life moment either does that make it about our staff being unable to roll with life and laugh at behavior?

It sounds like you had a great time! I hear Estes park is nice. My sister in law was there with her family yesterday. It looks pretty.

Awesome shirt! Is it just for her or do you have one you can wear with her?
It was a lot of fun, and Estes Park is a 10 minute drive to the Rocky Mountain National park. That's where we hiked. It's beautiful. Estes is a nice little town with lots of fun shops to go through.

Good morning it's going to be perfect weather today:joyfull: Pool time with the boys after lunch. Packing is coming along, got all chargers all charged up and my clothes mostly organized. Line apps are on all the phones but I still have to finish organizing the boys' stuff.
I see you only have 23 days. You are doing very well, getting the packing and organizing out of the way. Way to go, girl friend!
