Thanks. Roof has a few iffy areas but nothing horrid. 2 properties down the peak ripped off his entire roof and then shifted the roof down. So not good. 2 year old roof. oy. I have plenty of firepit wood but everything hit the ground, doesn't appear anything hit garage which is amazing or garage but smooshed one of those huge garbage bins. My neighbors bin rolled or blew across the road. Messy. All through town the roads are filled with about 2" small twig branches on the road. Still lots of people without power and stuff a few roads still closed but we are OK. Thankful. Thanks for asking.
sounds like an adventure.. but with lots of cleaning.

Speaking of winds.. where they "derecho"? or tornado related?

I'm thinking this isn't the first Marathon that has pulled out of the ground similar to this style. I seem to remember PUSH posting one up in his area of a gas station that did something similar during a tornado. Makes you wonder about the engineering of these type of pump covers. They were nasty straight winds though, I understand why so many flights were late or cancelled.

The entire roof and insulation was ripped from a building with workers inside, the fire department told them they had to close until it was deemed safe to return.
Probably because they are easy to install? the roofs I mean. These kind of open roofs are everywhere in gas stations. (My town as different ones with concrete and even tiles), but most have the same style of metal based roofs that can tip easily.

Our first FP was for BTMR... :)

Then, we did an HM standby before our Splash FP...10 min. Wait...! :)

image.jpeg

This window in the HM exit caught my eye... :)

Strangely enough, I took no pics from our Splash ride... :cyclops: Guess I was just tryin' to pay attention to every detail 'cause of all the issues it's had in recent years. And, as I posted earlier, it looked really good, and all the animatronics were working. Anyway, very enjoyable ride, and yes, we all got a bit wet...!!! :joyfull:

Next up...Mermaid... :)

As I came home from church this morning I looked at the semi-raised flower bed area next to the house and noticed these little plants pushing up already! It gives me hope for spring! Even though I know it is heat from the house that makes them come up early every year, but still ... SPRING!!!!

Ha!! I definitely had some stress on my wedding day....the only thing you can't control is other people. My dad runs on his own time zone, always has. He'd say he was coming to pick us up for a visit at 9, and he'd not show up until 2 in the afternoon. He'd have fallen asleep, or decided to balance the checkbook and go out and check the water basins for the cattle, etc. So when I got married, he didn't want to take any time off from work, so he traded some shifts with others to be able to be there for the wedding. We told him to be there at 1:00 for the pictures...the wedding was at 3. 2:15 and he still wasn't there...I thought he wasn't going to come. He showed up just in time to walk me down the aisle, which he was supposed to do with my brother...one on each side. Brother was not happy about the arrangement because he didn't think my dad deserved the honor. We took a step and my dad saw that my train wasn't straight, so he bent down to rearrange it and my brother took off, half dragging me down the aisle and my dad couldn't keep up. And my brother is twice my size...he's 6 foot 4 and probably close to 450 lbs...there was no way I could hold him back. Then after the ceremony, we needed to bustle my dress and the seamstress had promised to put gold pins where the bustle hooks were so we could find them...she forgot and we ended up having to call the bridal shop to ask where to look because my mom, my MIL, and 3 family friends were all scouring the back of the dress and none of them could find them. I can look back and laugh now, but I was pretty stressed out at the time.
