My DDs University had great food plus they had custom food in several dorms, vegetarian, gluten free too. But the Princeton Review ranks a college in the North-West Suburbs of Chicago as #1 in food (it is also an excellent academic college)

(But every school has its bad too. This is the college that let the female, tenured political science professor go over “I stand in religious solidarity with Muslims because they, like me, a Christian, are people of the book,” Hawkins wrote on Facebook. “And as Pope Francis stated last week, we worship the same God.” The evangelical college didn't care for it. She is gone now with a confidential separation agreement as the school thought twice about firing her since public opinion along with staff and students did not support the boards strong hand.) But hey, who needs a good professor when you have excellence in food service? :banghead:
Well you've got to have priorities, you know.

Yes, I normally take half a dramamine (a whole one knocks me out, so I only take half) but I forgot that day. I can't get dramamine over here at all, so I'm planning on getting some when I get to the states so I can take some while I'm at Disney. But even the dramamine probably wouldn't help with things like tea cups or BTM.
Sympathy like. My boys really like the Tea Cups and taking me for a spin:confused:

I actually wonder, Can she even sing at the levels of Julie Andrews?
I remember reading that only Adele, Lady Gaga and Maria Carey can acceptably sing to the levels of her during Andrew's peak.
Well that's certainly a matter of opinion...very subjective. I'm a singer myself and I don't like Adele's voice...she screams too much for my taste. It sounds forced...not at all the smooth, easy-sounding timbre of Julie Andrews' voice. But that's kind of the whole point...how do you re-cast an iconic role decades after said icon is unable to reprise it? They won't be able to make everyone happy because it won't be the same actress they know and love.

I usually like the dining threads but the one about the best qs in EPCOT is getting very nasty.:mad::mad: i wish they'd just say their piece and let it go.
Isn't it kind of subjective? I mean...if you LOVE tacos, the best for you might be Cantina De San Angel. But what's best for YOU won't necessarily be what's best for someone else. I know a LOT of people LOVE Sunshine seasons...but I looked at their menu and it didn't even make the list for our 2 week trip. There's nothing DS will eat, and nothing that shouts "OH YUM. I HAVE to try that" at me. How can you possibly pick one restaurant that is "the best" for every single person on the board? Why even try? If it's the best fit for you, yay, go for it. But arguing about which is best is going to get NOWHERE.

It wasn't a discussion of who likes what.

I was due to get married in the UK and fly out for 3 weeks from May 23rd to June 15th ... wedding wise everything was booked.. photographer, florist, venue, church etc. we got stressed because my mum was kicking off at us for not inviting my step sisters (havent seen them in like 2 years, dont talk to them, dont even have them on the facebook) anyway, after weeks of stress with the guest list weve decided to get married in Florida.. not sure what we are going to do yet but probably the secret garden in Longwood.

So excited.
Congrats on the upcoming wedding! Weddings and funerals both seem to bring out the worst in people. When I got married, hubby and I were paying for everything ourselves. My mom was pushing for me to get married in my home town so all her friends could attend, but as I had just graduated college and all my friends were in my college town, and still poor college students who wouldn't be able to travel, I insisted I was getting married where MY friends could attend as I thought it was more appropriate that MY friends be there for my wedding. And my home town had no venue large enough for a reception except the town hall which was...less than elegant and wedding-like. We would have had to get married at my old church in town, and then drive 40 miles to the next town over for the reception, and then we would have had to drive 6 hours the next day to get to the airport for our honeymoon, whereas my college town was only 3 hours from the airport. It just didn't make sense to get married in my home town and make everyone drive back and forth between the wedding and reception, etc. and there were no accommodations in my hometown for lodging for out of town guests either. It would have been craziness to get married there. Do what you want to do...it's your day, and you'll be just as married however you decide to do it.

I'm very indifferent to Star Warsland. Have no attachment or excitement for it, never have felt it for StarWars. But on the flipside I am happy for those who are and kinda for me too as I hope others like @StarWarsGirl95 and @figmentfan423 will spend so much time there that it helps the queues in the other area. So a WinWin for everyone!
I don't get excited over anything really. I enjoy many things, but, my emotional level hardly ever reaches what anyone would call "excited". I have never followed Star Wars and as I stated, I have never seen a Star Wars movie until the current one. I liked it, but, am still not a huge fan of the genre.

Still I am looking forward to it showing up in DHS. I enjoyed riding Star Tours without any of the background and can think of no reason why things that they offer will not be interesting, different and entertaining. So, in that sense, I am looking forward to it, as I am Avatar (another that I have no background of, yet think can be very interesting if done right). Never saw Song of the South until well after Splash Mtn. showed up. Never saw 20K at all, had no particular interest in Pirates or Ghost stories either, but, I surely enjoy those attractions. I've never seen Cars (of any number), but, what I have seen of the area in DCA, I'm pretty sure I would enjoy that as well. Sometimes I think it is better to not have any obsession concerning any franchise, that way I have no preconceived notions of what I should be seeing and can, instead, enjoy what is there. Life is much simpler that way, lacking in passion perhaps, but a lot simpler.
^^^^ I can so relate! OMG almost the same exact thing for us stress, stress and more stress.
Funny, I never felt any stress until many, many years after the actual wedding. :in pain: Maybe a delayed reaction? :joyfull:

because Sunshine Seasons is the best restaraunt on property fact and anyone who doesn't agree is wrong . . . ;)
That's right! And when someone disagrees with you, they are wrong and you have a responsibility to beat them into submission untill they see the error of their ways!

At least that's the way it sometimes comes across on some of the threads... I just don't understand why some people have to be like that.
