1600 flights cancelled at Chicago airports. Some not being rebooked until New Years Eve.

One of my oldest and dearest friends had a guardian angel a few hours ago. He was T-Boned by a Snow Plow.
Car is Totalled. He walked away.

Amen
I suppose he can say proudly he survived being "plowed"

Yeah, that's kind of how I feel, too, but I can't MAKE them go to Disney with us. My brother has a history of being TERRIBLE with money and they've just now kind of gotten back on their feet financially. I can't really blame my brother-in-law for being cautious. And we'll have fun with them in South Dakota, too....I just was picturing having a ball in Disney with my niece, who will be 3 then. But there's a lot of fun stuff to do in South Dakota with the kids and just getting to spend time with the family will be amazing.
solution.. buy prepaid debit cards, use 1 per day.. force him to leave the others at the hotel so he doesnt overspend.

We've never driven to WDW either. It's an exact 2 hour non-stop flight for us. Growing up we drove to Texas multiple times. :)

Yep, when I was a kiddo, I very much enjoyed our road trips from No Cal to Texas and back every summer. But, those were 3-week-long vacations. So, when we're only taking a week-long vacation to the World, and it's a 22 hour drive from where we live...

I'm getting my bucket list together. So far I have pick a pearl, get a glass slipper, River of Light, night safari and eat at T-Rex, Sanna, Whispering canyon and Morrimoto's (not sure if we want to do an ADR or qs)

Of those on your list, we've been to WCC an T-Rex twice, and really enjoyed both places both times.
I recommend the Triassic Trio to any meat/seafood lovers in your family. Steak, shrimp skewers over rice, and creamy/cheesy bay scallops. :hungry:
It wasn't on the menu last time we were there (nor now, I just checked), but, when I asked about it they made it for me anyway...! :)

Maybe it's a good thing the scallop item isn't on the menu my is allergic.

Have been to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, which is very cool :), but, never been to Kennedy. Need to fix that, someday. :)
You must fix that KSC is amazing. We go every trip. One time we went it was during Star Trek summer (came home with a few tribbles, I could have sworn I only bought oneo_O). and last time we got into the soft opening for Atlantis. We could easily spend a few days there. It's about an hour's drive from Disney and well worth it.
