In my town we didn't have sidewalks when my kids were growing up. For us they came during 9/11 with major road rebuilding that year. My DD was in 4th grade my DS already in high school. My kids learned to navigate the roads while walking and riding bikes in the street. I so hated that. I grew up with sidewalks and some people are nuts driving their cars around kids.

I have empathy for you and the ambulance driver. I had my son in his buggy in the mega mall. Maybe 3 months old. I was in the hallway portion and he was screaming his fool head off, colic and all but I needed to buy Christmas Presents so the mall it was him screaming me exhausted. An elderly women sitting on a brick wall next to her husband stood up and stuck her face into the buggy and screamed two inches from my DS face SHUT UP and yelled at me for not keeping him quiet. Yep. Nuts. I ignored her and looked at her mortified husband and told him to get a grip on his wife or I was calling for security. Poor guy. He attempted as I pushed the buggy onward as she then fought with him. I'll never forget the loon in my infant sons face screaming.

That's when you hope grandma gets run over by a reindeer!

We have actually decided that next time we will get the QS plan, just to change things up. There are actually a good number of QS places that offer some unique items that we would like to try. When we are on the DDP, we only get one QS choice a day so we haven't had a chance to try all we have wanted. And with that choice, we don't want to take a lot of time to get to the restaurant, as we will be taking time out for dinner later, so we tend to go for what is close by. Also, it will save us some money which is nice but mostly, I just want to change things up and see if it doesn't lend itself to a more spontaneous trip.

Glad someone asked the question. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for their favourite QS restaurants or items.

We've only done the DDP twice, and that was because of my 50% CM discount.
We did the snack, QS, TS plan. Sooo much food...!

Off the top of my head...
MK: Columbia Harbor House
AK: Flame Tree BBQ
EPCOT: Sunshine Seasons
HS: Not much...

We used to shoot the bullfrogs off the stock tank at the farm with 22's, and the hounds would retrieve them for us.

Some friends say that both steven universe and gravity falls are way deeper than anyone imagines.. specially Stevens.. loots of "feels" as they say.

They both have a cult following. I didn't like SU at first but now I have to watch to see how they save the world.

The only thing im glad is.. the whole "my little pony" fad is finally dying.
Hated to see these darn bronies inserting their "ponysona" everywhere and ruin it with their sexual advances.. creepy as hell.

My Little Pony is definitely not dying out and fading out of memory though. There is a whole new toyline out for the holidays. My daughter isn't into them but my nieces are. They have them on their Christmas list.

Don't you have today off? It's Columbus Day, and we're off today, thank goodness!

Our kids had school but today and tomorrow are our "fall break". I guess I can't complain. This is the first year we ever had a fall break.

Some people are calling it Indigenous Peoples Day. That's stupid. Apparently Native American Day is too un-politically correct for them.

That is stupid. Indigenous Peoples makes me think of Australia. My ex father-in-law, who is Blackfoot, has always said Native American.

Giggle. You do have an interesting mind Sir. I look at 68 differently than you. On the rare occassion that the temps reach 68 here in the winter I'm calling it a heat wave. Summer 68 is chilly here.

No just regular cuts and my bad my dh said some cuts and ground beef start at $7. The place my dh gets it is local, organic and the cows are happy living in a field until...............and that's why I don't eat beef. Cows are cute.

That's one of the reasons why I don't eat cows either, or piggies. But also because beef never sits well with me - always gives me tummy aches.

Mom's (prime time) meatloaf cook'n on the grill, meSga potatoes on the grill and fresh green beans, the kind that actually snap they are so fresh simmering in olive oil and garlic on the stove top. So love fresh veggie season.

my philosophy is the government has no business in the bedroom/bathroom which for my generation and the one after me...is an odd thought.

But schools are funded by the government (more or less). How can you expect them not to have a say?
