Pop came through the operation fine.
The Doc came to see us about 30 mins. ago and gave two thumbs up.
We'll be going to see him in about 30 mins.
There is still a 1 percent chance he might have had a stroke (typical odds for any heart surgery for any age) during the procedure, but, won't know for sure 'til he wakes up.

Again, I'd like to express my sincerest, heart-felt thanks to all of you here for all the well-wishes and prayers. It comforted a great deal.
Y'all are the best...!
That's wonderful and I really like those odds but I'll still keep your family in my prayers!! xoxo

I'm so so glad it went well! How did he look when you got to see him? I'll keep praying for a speedy recovery for him!

Thanks, I've never done these before. Such a fun idea.
The cones here are different...smaller, so I don't have to bake mine as long, and cake here is different, so I always make mine from scratch as they don't have boxed mixes here. Cake here is more dense and dry and it's done in a loaf pan...more like pound cake than what we think of as birthday cake. I've learned a LOT about baking since I moved here because I either had to do without all my favorites (brownies, cake, cheesecake, cookies, cinnamon rolls, etc) or I had to learn to make them. Here are the ones I did for DD's 6th birthday treats at school.DSCF3267a.JPG

I put a teaspoon or 2 in my salads and it seemed to work. I never seem to measure food when cooking, I just go by what looks and smells right to me. my younger ds is the same way.
I'm the same way. I measure some things when baking, like flour and sugar, but not things like salt, vanilla, etc...those I just eyeball. But when I'm cooking, I tend to go by smell and look.

Thank you so very much! :)
It's funny you bring that up. When we were talking to the anesthesiologist before the procedure, he told us that when we see him in recovery he wouldn't look quite as pretty as he does right now.
When I went to see him about an hour ago, he actully looked just the same as he did right before they took him to the OR, but, was still totally out of it.
He's coming around quite a bit more now, but, has requested some pain relief.
They should be removing the tube in his throat around 5p.
Thanks for asking. :)
