facepalm = action of being so frustrated that you slap your forehead with the palm of your hand.
The action was heavily popularized online with the advent of "image macros".
Making Captain Picard one of the most popular ones.

Something is definitely messed up. I am getting alerts on quotes of other people. Is anyone else having that issue?

Yes, I noticed one or two yesterday - probably due to change in website?

Edit: Ah, turns out it wasn't this issue for me. I looked at the alert again and noticed the post had been edited, so the person must have quoted me in error. And, like Goofy, I was a little disappointed that my words hadn't dazzled someone enough to quote me.

LOL You guys sounded like so much fun! I was always the quiet studious one :bookworm:, but wished I could be part of the chatty group. :D

Our favorite thing was basically a cinnamon roll recipe, but it was just made out of Pillsbury dough dipped in butter, covered in cinnamon and sugar (and baked of course). We called it a funny name, though, that did not give you any hint as to the actual dish. Something along the lines of snickerdoodles...
Snickerdoodles are one of my favorite cookies. :hungry:

As much as I someday look forward to grandkids someday, I hold close to my heart not yet kids, you're not financially ready for this yet

Amen .

Yep, Oldest DD and her hubby are both very sensible. They both have good jobs, budget themselves, still enjoy life, and have goals and a plan.
Although, we all know life doesn't always go as planned, it's usually still better to have one. ;)

I love longer vacations! I'd rather go every 2 or 3 years and have a nice relaxing time to see and do everything than have one week a year and rush and miss stuff. Next year my dh is taking 4 weeks off (yea for a job where he can bank vacation days)

Fortunately, our vacation days roll over, too.
Since we haven't been on one since our last WDW trip in June of '13, I may have just a few extra ones layin' around...! ;)

I suppose it could also be the same movement that occurs just before it drops into the river. However, that may be just my peculiar way of thinking.:jawdrop:

My father owned a 1963 Buick LeSabre with the largest engine Buick made at the time. I think it was 440ci with a 4 barrel carb. I don't really remember exactly, but it was a BIG engine. Anyway, it got 7 miles per gallon. It could pass everything on the road except a gas station. It was also a bragging point in his circle of buddies back then. Of course, at the time "high test" gasoline, which it required was only about 30 cents per gallon.
He also hauled a 19' travel trailer with it when on vacation. At that point the mileage proudly dropped to just a little over 4 mpg's.

So far, so good. ;)

When you said 440, I thought of the dodge 440 Magnum. The largest motor option in the '63 LeSabre (yes, I had to look it up ;)) was a 401. Still one BAM (Big A$$ Motor). :)
