So for fathers day, we are going to a restaurant. I looked at the menu. How come I always like one of the most expensive things on the menu?

Hahaaa...!
Sounds like me!
Although, the only time I've ever really acted on it was the 2 WDW trips we had a 50% discount on the DDP when I was still a CM.
Pretty sure I ordered the most expensive item at every single meal I could...!!! :joyfull: :hungry: :)

Geesh, I thought the rain was done, I'm hearing thunder in the distance, again. :cautious: Betting there were many delayed flights, redirects and cancellations again tonight. Poor travelers this week.

Now I'm hearing rain drops again. Oy.

Yep, the last few days again we've been gettin' more lines of t-storms rollin' through off and on all day.
Waited for a torrential one to roll through yesterday afternoon before I went to pick up DS from a buddies house. When I finally went there branches down all over the place and a tree down blocking half the parkway.
Torrential stuff again on our way to brunch today, stopped, started up again during brunch, and then again just a few minutes ago.
Water everywhere, and sooo friggin' humid. Feels like we're at WDW...!!! :joyfull: ;) :)

I exercise, I walk 5 miles a day, I try to ride my bike, weather permitting. I'm not a runner. So not a runner, don't get that any more than I understand the game of golf, as artfully stated, golf, a good walk spoiled.

My Dad ran the Boston Marathon for the first time at 65. He has had a hip replaced and needs 2 knee replacements. The Doc's warned him, but he knew better........

I'll stick to not pounding my joints away, lesson learned.

Yep, I've known plenty of thin people over the years that ran and had injuries and walked around with braces all the time. If people actually ran instead of jogged (more cruising across the ground instead of pounding into it) they'd be much better off. What really makes me cringe is heavy people jogging. Ride a bike, swim, etc.. Anything more low impact.
DWifey and myself don't plan on doing much, if any, running. ;) :)

Every employment situation is different. However, just my 2 cents here, in that I've had years of longevity in all but one of my jobs. That one job I absolutely hated, but still stuck it out for one year. At a year and a day, I then quit, and moved on to a better job. Again, every situation and employer is different and looking for different things. One of my strong points on my resume and in interviews, was that I had a record of reliability.

There are actually 3 jobs that I've walked from after only a few months, but, all 3 times I always had another job lined up to go directly into. And, I always gave proper notice.
One was an architectural firm, back in the early 80's, that was just a nuthouse. I couldn't take it anymore.
The other 2 were retail jobs after I was laid off after 20+ years from the firm I'm now back with.
Batteries+ (now Batteries+Bulbs) was by far the most boring job I've ever had, and Kay Jewelers was pretty much just a bunch of sales people practically elbowing each other to get to the next person to walk in the store.
So glad to be out of retail.
