I feel your pain!!!!!!!! I almost feel guilty as it's a balmy 32, going up to 50....hopefully! or I'll be back to posting groundhog recipes!At 5:35 a.m., it's 28 degrees out on April 2nd! HA! (The weather man on TV this morning said that normal temps this time of year for our area are 45-50. Heh, heh . . .)

It was a lovely, sunny, somewhat warm day yesterday, so someone saw fit to shut off the furnace.
Being the first one up, it was up to me to figure out why it had gotten so cold overnight. 63 degrees in here at 6:00 a.m. - makes it pretty hard to get out of bed.

When I was working for the bus company, I used to teach defensive driving. Sometimes all I could do was shake my head in disbelief at just how little anyone knows about driving defensively. They could always quote who had the right of way, but, never seemed to know what to do to avoid the folks that are not alert enough to care. It is a topic that comes up constantly and yet everyone seems to ignore it. I don't know why! I know that I have been saved from many accidents due to the fact that I was always aware and always prepared for someone to do something stupid on the highway. I was never disappointed by them. Do you have any idea how many people cut in front of a moving bus just because they don't want to be behind it? Many times instead of being behind it, they become part of it.
Anyway, more and more emphasis should be put on it, even if it is part of one's hands on driving test. If ever there is a time to be a defensive driver, that would be it.

Looks like my Disney drought might finally come to an end. Last night my dh said start planning summer 2016!!!!!!!! My youngest said make sure we get there after his birthday so he can go some places by himself. It's way too far away for me but keeping fingers crossed next summer will work out. The only good thing about not going for a while is my dh will have banked 4 weeks vacation time!!!!!!!

We have red light cameras down here. If you go through a red light, odds are you'll get a ticket in the mail.And, I've heard it said up here that, "Red means speed up!" (I'm super careful crossing the streets in the city when the light turns red for traffic; I've seen a lot of scary near-misses.)
The only issue is that people tailgate, so because people are afraid of the cameras, they end up getting rear-ended a lot because they step on the brakes and get rear-ended. Kind of ironic. They're meant to prevent accidents, but actually cause them.

So would you suggest the curriculum needs to be revised to include more about defensive driving or should it happen with the driving time? I'm interested in what you think about this subject. I would like to help my kids learn to be better defensive drivers. My daughter is only 20 so she is still a young driver.
I think we all could benefit from any input you have to give.

They either won't ship to Canada, or can't ship the two specific things I tried to order - pink sugar body butter and pink sugar sugar scrub.
