Who has done the overhead dark ride better?

So because it is overhead, that is the qualifier as great? Don't think so. I'll take a Tokyo Pooh any day over an overhead Pan at the MK. Nobody did an overhead Skyway better than Disney but we know what happened to them at the parks. Disney given the current tech can do so much better with Pan than what the overhead is displaying beneath in the 21st century. Then again I wasn't sad to said to say good-bye to Snow White just sad it was to a meet and greet or Toad either. Pas-say.

Really.

So...you'll take a "trackless ride system that bounces from time to time" over the illusion of flying over London made with simpler tech, in simpler times, but with stunning (hour long or later waits for 30+ some odd years) results?

Certainly. I am a modern woman. I enjoy the tech advancements in themeparks. I don't get lost often in nostalgia of yesteryear. Not surprising I'm a big fan of all things Potter over Pan also. I'm not one to frequently return to the Tiki Birds either. I am pretty proactive in thought of themeparks keeping with the times vs lost in yesteryear tech. Snow White and Toad did little for my themepark junkie admiration either in the 21st century. I love innovation.

I really, really dislike Hummus. I keep trying, spatting into the napkin always

We seem to favor the same QS restaurants minus AoA, never been there. I've only stayed at one value, Pop, though not horrid, I wasn't impressed, too Motel 8 cheaply themed for me and the beds were horrid. But still I understand the appeal. The price at most values is a draw if guests only crash there. I stayed as a kid at Deluxes and Moderates mostly as an Adult with my family. Hard to go from Contemporary the Orleans to Pop. If I started at Pop the thought might have been different. For the price I'd stay at the Hilton at DTD over Pop.

I actually really like hummus. :hungry:

As far as resorts go, we started at a moderate (POR for first 2 family trips) and then went the value way...for now. We just don't spend that much time at the resort. :)

No, it is surprising. It's surprising you called yourself a "modern woman" based on your recent comments.

I don't see what anything you just said makes you a "modern woman". All I see is blather.

For example...Potter is one other example of the tropes where the men rule out, with a Jesus complex (who, in the case of that story is a man, not a woman). Please, prove me otherwise.

Explain to me, because I am so ignorant, what is a "modern woman"?

I get that and have acknowledged that. I find the value of the upscale Hilton that has most of the perks of onsight resorts but the deluxe accomodations at a Disney value price. I love the Hilton at DTD.

@Cesar R M arrived a few days ago with all the walls up around the hub. Some of the walls came down since then. I am interested to hear what his impressions are of the hub developments this week. OK?
Agreed. I'd love to hear them too! Don't think every post I make is confrontational.

I was merely asking when your last trip was.

you're misreading everything I have been writing lately.

I never said mexico was better, not even close. I actually said the opposite.
Hotels might get the USA type certifications and standards, but for people with disabilities.. companies dont give a carp.

*edit*
Seems I missed to say something about the equipmentfor deafs in myfirst trip report.
or maybe I did..not sure now...

anywaty... almost always the deaf equipments overheated and failed after mere minutes failing. displatying battery error (I tried 3 units, 1 in animal kingdom, one in magic kingdom and one in epcot). CC was supposedly to work in many areas. but they were NOT TURNED ON. fantasmic for example..I was seated in the area for deaf (with supposedly reflexived glass subtitles.. they did NOT WORK)not to mention a lot of the attractions had no CC enabled.

I suppose they might work now.
Will try again in animal kingdom tomorrow and report. Because in my first trip.. my magic failed badly as well.. and nowas been working fine.

To resume, I wsas surprised of these services. had a lot of hope as a lot of stuff had the CC logo. And I was hearbroken to see that it didnt work properly the mayority of the time, or the devices crashed.

Now that is disappointing :( I am sorry for you. It work well for me last year but Disney isn't great at keeping up with any of their tech which is disappointing for those of us with disabilities. I hope some of the other parks are better for you.

speaking of the tangled potties. I feel sorry for these CMS ( I seen like 5) giving tours to groups of people, they were to show the area where Pascal supposedly is and then say stuff about the tangled toilets...
Also, speaking of bad show, you can see the water system maintenance tanks of Its a Small World right next to the tangled pooties.. they removed the trees there and you can see a lot now.

as for other things, I just returned from Epcot. the new lasers really look good. but why they only installed a pair of them? (the only group of colored lights seems to come from the England Area.(or was it the chefs du france?)
Also, the new speaker systems are louder but they vary way too much from strenght (the old parade song was playing as you leave.. and the sound variation was very clear)

On other notes, are they building something next to france? theres a big area walled out.

And finally rode spaceship one and test track.
Test track was really fun.. gotta love the percs of being single rider.
But the last 2 curves almost made me vomit. no idea why (the part before the car speeds at maximum) Pretty sure it was the weird smell of plastic.. who knows..

Wow! Why would they take out the screening trees? I hope they replace them soon if they were overgrown for the infrastructure. Yeah my son was telling me about the lasers that they were great but not what they were years ago. The kids of mine have spent over a year of their childhood in the parks and remember what certain parts were in their glory so small rehabs still don't equate to the cuts. We all are looking forward to the restoration of DHS flood lights of yesteryear. We do miss that touch of magic.

I'm curious as to the plastic of TT. That is one ride that I've always have had a thrill at the end. Wonder what is up with that??? Do you know which parade song was playing?
