You missed the point completely. Those are all things you can add (they haven't even scratched the surface), but none of them are an iconic landmark like Hogwarts.
Btw, the Great Hall is the loading area of The Forbidden Journey (a huge disappointment IMO).

Your response wound up inside the quote... Hate when that happens... But regarding F&F, as long as the franchise makes money, it will be milked... Like Disney will milk Frozen until people become sick of it... I'm already sick of F&F... But obviously others aren't... I believe F&F is supposed to be in a Russian theme park, if that is even still on the drawing board... Unless it was for a Chinese or Japanese theme park? Someone will correct me if I am wrong...

Yes, Azkaban Prison... Though we did only see it once in the movies... But, I'm sure they could come up with something.. Problem is, how many dementor attacks can you possibly have before it gets boring? Forbidden Journey... and on Hogwarts Express... That is really enough dementor attacks lol..

I'm not opening the bajillion "Does Avatar Fit" conversations here again, I swear. My point is that currently, the one thing that Avatar has going for it is he created an incredibly visual "world", and given unlimited funds and creativity, an incredible experience could be created. How many visitors have read the works of Jules Verne, yet that section of DisneySea is fairly universally praised.
The IF there is a huge one though. Currently, they have a large section of open land. Nearly an clean piece of paper. IF they treat it right, it can be mind blowing. Its a big IF, and one I'm not really confident they can pull off, but the potential is there.

Reading what others have posted were original plans, Great Hall was supposed to be a dining area for guests, inside Hogwarts, but was cut due to time/budget restraints... Sounds like the other parks (or at least one of them) could wind up getting this original planned version for Orlando... THAT is what I was talking about, not some little reference in the queue... the ACTUAL dining all where you can really sit and eat... The question is, was Hogwarts built with that area in mind or not...

That sounds really cool! Imagine eating at the Great Hall during Halloween or Christmas, with floating pumpkins and so on. And what if projections of other characters, like Professor Flitwick and Professor Snape (my fave) could be worked in somehow...and oh yeah THE GHOSTS. Floating through the air, singing eerie carols at Christmas. Oh, the possibilities...

All one needs to do is look at Indiana Jones Adventure to recognize how you can still build a world class attraction by basing a ride in a setting from a property without being constrained to IP/story elements from the previously published works.
They could make up an entirely new place/thing in the HP universe, and as long as it was GOOD and fit well with the existing story as people know it.. it would work and be it's own draw.

The same can be said with Pandora as well of course.
If Cameron would allow them to do it. I guess with HP, Rowling would likely have final say on it as well.

Sony animation? The only tie there is Popeye since Sony is doing the Popeye movie... Other than that, Smurfs? Cloudy? Hotel Transylvania? WHy when Universal has their own classic monsters, which were the same monsters in H.T.? Do people care about Open Season anymore? Did they ever? I know, Smurfs 3 is in production as is Hotel Transylvania 2, but again, Hotel Transylvania is useless with Universal having the same monsters, more iconic as well...
I can see Smurfs being part of the KidZone replacement... And even that is far fetched in my mind... I cannot see Sony Animation getting an entire island at IOA... I don't think there is enough there... Other than, as mentioned before, the Popeye tie in...

I'm quite certain Avatar will make for a well themed land. If done right (to be fair a big if), it could be up there with some of the more gorgeous theme park lands out there. But from everything we've heard about the rides, it's not going to be anything special whatsoever. They're building what is referred to on the leaked blueprints as a C-ticket boat ride and an E-ticket simulator. And those blueprints sound like they're going to be fairly accurate from the details we were shown last year about the land. The simulator has been referred to as "Soarin over Pandora" countless times by insiders here, and everything we've seen seems to indicate that is very close to what we'll end up getting. I'm sadly far more excited for the boat ride at this point, an actual real ride through supposedly tangible space and scenes. But even that is a problem when Disney has labeled the ride two ticket levels below a simulator, very much a cause for worry. Especially after they tried to pass off the Mermaid ride as an "E ticket lite" to the media (that's not even worthy of its official D ticket status).
The land is inevitably going to be a visual stunner, Rohde and Cameron working together will probably ensure that. But it will be lacking heavily in what the parks need so desperately at this point- actual substance, amazing new rides. And by the time the land has opened (which I have every cause to suspect the full finished product is going to arrive later than the official 2017 date given New Fantasyland and such), both Universal parks will have received multiple new substantial rides.
So all style and no substance is a phrase that heavily comes to mind in regards to what we've been told about Pandora. You need both style and substance, but you especially need substance. This is why Disney's pre-2000 rides were so fantastic, they had both. And this is also why Universal's future is looking incredibly bright, they appear to share that philosophy now going forward with new rides.

Daniel Radcliffe stated himself he is done with Potter. Ron Weasley supposedly is the main character in the new attraction.
I am a huge Potter fan, and came away severely disappointed in Potter 1.0. I have low expectations for 2.0, but maybe Universal will surprise me.
