I loved the verandah! It was great. I spent a lot of time out there

Reading these trip reports has been great! One of these days I'll cruise and I think my first one will be a Disney Cruise (duh!)

My first cruise was with Disney. DCL is awesome (even for adults)

When we got to the top we floated through a little river inside for a minute. While we were floating I heard Christina yelling for Missy to look at her knee. Missy couldn’t hear her and was blissfully unaware. Then one of the lifeguards started yelling at Missy and pointing at her leg.

There was a lizard on her knee!! According to Missy, he was stretching out his neck and front legs and ready to pounce on her! :jawdrop:

So she did what any of us would have done. She screamed bloody murder and swatted that lizard across the room!

The lifeguard shrieked when she saw the lizard flying in her direction and began running in circles to get away from the launched lizard!!!

I cannot even begin to tell you how long and hard we laughed. I think I was still crying laughing when I started down the slide.

Missy took a little longer to laugh after being traumatized by the lizard, but she got there. :D

So after that near death experience, we got off the lazy river and started walking through the pools. See, she’s okay!

So are Kelly and Christina!

We made our way through the little slides:

Then we went to the tube slide that takes you through the shark tank. This is it from the stairs:

Up at the top!

Look at all the sharks!

We saw Jen and she sat with us for a little while. Then we passed Courtney, Shannon, Holly and Jess. Hello ladies!

We walked about 10 feet and saw Darolyn, Ashley and Terryn! Then we went inside and ran into Siobhan! Then Stephanie on the stairs! We were everywhere! :)

Missy used to work in an ice cream shop and is a master at dispensing ice cream:

When we got back to the room there were some serious clouds, but no rain.

Here’s our great verandahs all opened up!

We’re so cool we dry our hair outside:

After we were showered and changed we went out wandering.

Dinner for myself and a few others tonight was at Remy. Some of us started out the night badly and I don’t want to rehash that, so I will give you my impressions of dinner itself. :) I will say I LOVED Remy.

Jenell, Suzanne, Siobhan, Kelly and Christina and I were all there.

Now I am a crazy picky eater (no veggies remember? :D), but I was in it for the experience. If I starved for a few hours there would be no shortage of food after I left. And what an experience it was.

I felt like royalty. Incredibly pampered. The presentation of it all was amazing. From the gorgeous food, to the view, to the servers in tuxes. When they brought our dishes out, they all lined up behind us and put our plates down at the exact same time. Awesome!!

At one point I got up to use the restroom and the maitre’d escorted me there. So gentlemanly!

Seriously, the service just blew me away.

I even managed to find some things to eat! :) And the company was excellent as always.

Love the plates!

They started by preparing us some drinks.

He made me my own non-alcoholic drink.

The first thing they brought us to eat may be the coolest thing I’ve ever eaten.

It was a crouton. A FILLED crouton! Guess what it was full of?

Tomato soup!!! Genius!! And how the heck did they do that?!

They warned us to put the whole thing in our mouths because if we bit into it, the soup would explode all over us. I put mine down for a second to take a picture though:

Now look at this amazing dessert. Is this gorgeous or what? The WHOLE plate is covered in chocolate!!

They brought out a collection of candies as well:

So after one of the most amazing meals I’ve ever eaten, or experienced as it was, they packaged up all of the candies we didn’t eat and also gave us each a box of chocolates to take with us. Then they gave us each a rose as well.

So wow. I was sold. That was amazing and worth every penny to me. It’s $75 a person, and after paying $50 for one course at California Grill the next week, I felt like it was a bargain.

The chef would have worked with my dietary wants and desires, but I really didn’t want him to. I respect what talented chefs can do and I don’t want my limitations to restrict them. As I said, knowing there was food in abundance elsewhere helped. It would be more difficult to relax had I been worried I was going to pay more for “regular” food later. And it turns out I didn’t leave the slightest bit hungry.
:)

Maybe even a little, dare I say it, stuffed?

Well played, Chef. :D

Most of the other ladies were going to Match Your Mate in one of the clubs that night. I thought we’d finish in plenty of time, but our meal was VERY very long. We made it in for the very end of the show.

There were some pretty stinking funny comments happening even then. When the couples were asked the craziest place the Magic had happened for them, one couple did not hold back. And not only did the wife give one crazy answer, but her husband got it wrong, so we got to hear two crazy places!!

The poor couple was in an elevator the next day with us and Missy made a joke about their answers the night before. Poor guy couldn’t get off the elevator quick enough! Lol!

Missy was a champ and passed out all of the cabana wristbands to everyone in my absence and we headed back to the room all ready for our big day at Castaway Cay tomorrow!
