They shut the game down fore maintenance without notification, so that could be it.

And I use Chrome and Firefox. Firefox seems to work best.

I hope they're switching servers. The game so laggy yesterday during the hunt.

The game? I don't know, but I'm almost positive that they aren't switching servers (they did that the night it opened).

Not that I know of. Oh poo... I wish it would open up soon...

The operating hours are 24/7 for the time being. Eventually there should be a poll on the OVMK Forums to see if the majority wants a closing/opening time or if they want 24/7. The reason OVMK is closing periodically is because they are doing maintenance and working on the game itself. This is common in beta.

I'm starting to think this game is a practical joke being played on me. I understand the game is in beta, but maybe it shouldn't even be in beta...

I haven't been able to gain access to this thing once.

I've been able to get on multiple times. Haven't been too many problems other than the occasional super-lag and disconnections. Once you get on the game there really isn't much to do, though. Not enough yet to start trading, none of the games are open, etc.

Well that's no so bad, because that would mean that she's working on it while we're sleeping. Assuming she's working on it first thing in the morning.

I'm pretty sure she works on it late at night/early in the morning, but I'm not sure. It just seems like it's closed around midnight (give or take an hour or two) UK time, which would be around 7 eastern time.

Update : Amy (developer) had been let go, and the game may be closing for a week. The game is currently resetting to fix the Stitch Hat issue that many members were complaining about.

I was just coming here to post this. It sounds like she was using questionable files (whatever that means, but it sounds like they could've been a safety concern). However, there are now new members to replace Amy. They go by the names of GPDOT, Jared, Aaron, and of course Nick.

I've gotten the feeling that Amy wasn't very well-liked by fellow staff members, and often times they would clash with her. I don't have any specific examples, however.

Last night at around 12:00 or so, Stitch hats were released after a game update and were only available for 5 minutes.

After the window closed, many members who didn't get the opportunity to purchase the hats, complained to staff.

I feel that the whole issue was utter nonsense.

I've been reading the thread a bit, and it sounds like Amy went ahead and released the hats without the permission of other staff members.

I'm kind of concerned by what Amy has done that put our safety at risk. It'd be nice to know, but supposedly they are going to answer questions during tonight's livestream. The livestream will not be regarding the game, but instead the forums.

Supposedly they found "malicious" files in the game, and the game that Amy opened to the public was not safe. However, nothing bad has reached anyone, but they hired a new team to investigate the files and clean up the unsafe files. The game should open later this week.
