The Fairytale & Dream Come True-May 2013 DFTW & Honeymoon Report​

Welcome to the very best trip report EVER!!!!! I can’t believe I’m sitting here writing this when I’ve been married for over two months now…yep that’s right! I went down to the happiest place on earth and got married!! Oh aaaannd I went on my very first cruise! (Apologies to my cruise ladies…that was supposed to be my first cruise, but I made a cruise a first for me and my husband!) So thanks for tuning in and I hope you enjoy! Here we go!!!!!!

WHEN: May 18-May 28, 2013

WHERE: May 18-23: The Boardwalk Inn, May 23-26: Disney Dream, May 26-28: Art of Animation: Little Mermaid room

WHO: There were a lot of characters that made appearances during this trip! Myself, my now husband Mike (who hasn’t been to the world since he was 12 and he is now 26), Mom (who you know from my many previous trip reports), Dad (his first trip EVER and first time to FL), Memere & Pepere (my grandparents whom are lovers of Disney & resided in FL for a few winters), Aunt (tagged along to help the grandparents), Mom-in-law & Dad-in-law (Mike’s parents), Brother & his gf (Mike’s brother and his gf tagged along for the journey too! It was her first time to WDW and they had a blast!)

Now everyone pretty much came in on the 18th and left on the 22nd (except us). The other characters will make appearances in a few places but I’ll only post a picture of us for now.

A little background on Mike and I and this decision before I begin…Mike and I have been together for almost 5 years now. We met in college through a mutual friend and the rest is history I knew there was something about him from the moment I laid eyes on him, and fortunately he felt the same about me. I did warn him about my Disney addiction way in the beginning & said if we get married it will be in Disney World. I guess he didn’t mind because well he let my dream come true! We were originally planning on getting married in March 2014, but since we were both already out of school and had full time jobs…we figured why not sooner! So about 7 months before the big day in October…we decided to get married in Disney World in May! We were so excited to get planning and thought it was so far away! But my, did the time come very fast! Thank you for tuning in and I hope you enjoy it!

Note: I did not take notes on this trip at all I was having too much fun to stop and write so this is going all from my pictures and memory!

Picking up where I left off...here is the day before the wedding!

Monday May 20th-Day before the Wedding!!!!!

We were up a little early around 7 because we had a family portrait session at the Boardwalk at 8:30! We had this in lieu of not using Disney for day of wedding photography, which I thought was really nice. The following series of pictures is a selection from that day. We tried to go for Ariel and Eric themed clothing. The dress I am wearing was made by one of my good friends as a wedding gift…its an Ariel kiss the girl dress!!!! I can’t for the life of me remember the name of our photographer. It started with an A and she typically did family portraits. She did a great job as did her assistant. Enjoy! All the credit goes to Disney Event Photography and their amazing team!

The session was an hour long, so at 930 we headed back up to the room and got ready to have some breakfast. We stopped at the Boardwalk Bakery and got a biscuit and nasty iced coffee…I remember having to go back to get a second biscuit because they never gave me nor did I pay for whatever else I ordered. It was a really weird set up, needless to say we didn’t go back there.

We headed back up to the room for a bit and then took a boat over to the Studios!

Our first stop was in Sid Cahunga’s and we saw this poster. We’ve seen all three seasons and we just can’t get enough of this show. Eventually, I would like to read all the books.

On the way up Hollywood Blvd. we ran into some Citizens of Hollywood. They were making a big deal about us getting married the next day saying they wanted to get married too. They drove away talking about it. It was so funny! I love the citizens!

And then we spotted some more! (I spy my Beau Wrangler )

We were hungry for a snack so into Sweet Spells we went…

We each had a slushie and a rice krispie treat! Those are Mike’s favorite..when he discovered it was a popular treat here….there was no going back…I can’t even tell you how many of those things he ate over the course of the trip.

Mom texted me saying they were sitting over at bench by the hat. We went to sit with them a few minutes and then parted our separate ways because they were going to see Lights, Motors, Action! And we were headed to see Beauty and the Beast!

We took a spot higher up by the exits.

Once the show was over we headed towards the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster so we could see what the wait time was.

The wait was a bit too long for us to wait in sun but right as we were about to turnaround a mother and her daughter handed us two fastpasses…good for right that second! We were so lucky and so excited! We thanked them and followed them right in!

We made it to the concert in no time at all and before we knew it we were back in the courtyard looking at this beautiful sight

The wait was too long for my beloved Tower unfortunately, so we kept on going because I wanted to show Mike One Man’s Dream because I knew he would love it.

We hung around to see the movie since it was so hot outside AC was nice. I really really wanted to watch the movie because I love the history of Walt Disney, but I was so tired I used the 15 minutes to take a nap…oops!

We wanted to take a break before our rehearsal dinner with everyone at Le Cellier so we headed out of the park and back to the Boardwalk.

We got changed and walked over to Canada!

I was so excited for this dinner because it is my favorite restaurant anywhere!!!!!

We were seated pretty much right away and I was excited!

New lighted menus?

Looking down our table.. My grandparents and Aunt are at the end. Dad-in-law is on the right over there and Mike and Mom-in-law is next to him. My parents were across from us I didn’t get them in the picture and Mike’s brother was a little late so they joined my grandparents at the end of the table.

I got a blue glowtini! It is so good!!!!! One of my new favorite drinks! Thanks to @WDW_Princess24!

For an appetizer I had the beloved Bacon and Cheddar Soup….my mouth is watering just sitting here thinking about it.

And my awesome filet. I was told you can no longer get it over the potatoes because they don’t offer it as a side any more Which was a huge bummer but I love it with the mushroom risotto regardless. UGH I WANT ONE OF THESE RIGHT NOW.

For desert was a Raspberry Cheesecake? It was not too bad.

We were in dinner for a good hour and a half to two hours and luckily missed a huge rainstorm. We all parted our separate ways, Mike and I headed over to Soarin’ to see what that was like.

When we got into the Land Pavillion it showed only a 30 minute wait…we didn’t pass that up! Well…about 20 minutes in we knew it was too good to be true…they announced it had turned into 80 minutes! Whatever we were already in here and we weren’t turning around now.

Finally we were almost there! We ended up waiting a total of one hour. Mike loved this ride, like I knew he would! Me I liked it a bit more having someone to go with, but still not up there as one of my favorite rides. I could give or take it.

We were going to watch Illuminations from around the lagoon but there was not any good spots left so we decided to hoof it back to our room because we figured we could see the high ones from our room!

We made it to our room and on our balcony with 5 minutes to spare! We had a pretty decent view. It was just really nice to sit and actually enjoy our balcony while I had a nice cup of hot coffee and reflect on the day that was about to happen.

After the fireworks ended, we took a walk down to his parents room to drop off his tux, etc so he wouldn’t have to take it down with him in the morning. I took a few pictures along the way.

Oh hey! We’re back at our room!

We hit the sack early, because we were getting married tomorrow and I was getting my hair and make up done at the bright time of 6:30 in the morning!!!!!! I was so excited! Don’t really remember being nervous either! We were so excited!!!!!!!

I like how you left the prices out of the picture for Le Cellier's menu. I think you did that so we wouldn't back out on dinner in September. LOL. Just kidding. (Not long till we'll be sharing dinner there!)

Where did you get your tiara? Was it comfy? I have always wanted one, but I'm worried it will give me a headache just like the Ears do.
