The ratings tanked last year for the Boston Pops up against Macy's extravaganza.Anyone else watching A Capitol Fourth on television?
And I am really, truly disappointed--no, I'm actually angry--that no channel is nationally televising the Boston Pops Independence Day concert and fireworks.
Bummer. And that's coming from a NYer. They should have left it on A&E.
On the other hand, Barry Manilow=those plastic guys from Dr. Who. OMG!!! Poster child for plastic surgery...

We listened to the Pops concert on our way home tonight on NPR
We listened to it on the radio, too. But we fondly remember watching it on A&E. CBS took it over last year, then abandoned it.

People are illegally shooting fireworks off somewhere, I can see them out my window.
They've been doing that here since Memorial day. This will go on all summer here. It does muffle the sound of drive-by shootings though....

I'm one of the good ones who has never been drunk in my life. Others have been caught multiple times, though.
I actually like Rihanna. But not for Independence Day. Is Macy*s on already? We're still watching Capitol Fourth.
While listening to "illegal" fireworks go off all around us.

Yeah, the fireworks have been going for a while now. The music doesn't fit the theme of Independence Day at all.
