My computer keeps acting up on me. But talked about proposals and TV Network strengths. Transition for CEO to Chair for Iger. Strengthen Lead Director power. Some guy's speaking, didn't catch name. Sounds like Ehnes from Calstrs. Nevermind, said it's Orin. Vote on proposal/remarks now. General Q&A after the business portion of the meeting. Speaker number 1 votes on proposal with seperarate chair and seperate CEO. Speaker number 2 talks about Lead Directors relationship to Starbucks and dislikes move of bringing that coffee to the parks (specifically DL). Iger says biggest park critism at parks was guests didn't like their coffee so that's why they made the deal with starbucks. Speaker number 3 says recommend board proposals. Audience speaker series is over. Collect vote ballots. Close polls. Inspector of Elections prelim says everyone including Iger stays on the board of directors. Approve Pricewaterhouse plan. Approve performance plan. Approval compensation resolution. Approve proposal. Disapprove last proposal as only 35% approved it. Alan Bergman is introduced and answers questions. No personal concern questions. Introduces Roy P Disney. Number 4 is up. Distrust in media question/concern, Media Bias ABC and Espn deserve blame. RG3 discrimination. Wants a more straight forward non bias news channel. Iger respects opinion. Goal at ABC News and Espn is to be fair and unbiased as possible. Thinks it's accurate and not biased. Says they've made mistakes in the past but have corrected them. Number 3 is up. Latio from Detroit talks about diversity on the board/ethnicity that Disney promotes in it's brand/product. Thank goodness I took Spanish for 3 years in HS. Number 1: Roy P Disney. Big view/long term picture of the company, talks about Walt and Roy, parks, largest media company and world, Iger understands what this company is about. Celebrated for Corporate Governance, not bash it. Number 3. Talks about Made in America show greatness. Pin collector. Obsessed with Disney pins. Shareholder meeting pins. Wants more pins made. Dumb question finally arrives. Expand brand in U.S. and the World Iger says. Brings jobs/manufacturing back to our shores consideration. Number 4. Importance of Disney. Loves Disney. Heroes work here discussion. Such an integral part of this country. Idea: Grandmas and Grandpas work here. Still no Next Gen questions yet. Number 2. Great investment. Admire core values and company. Leading edge, Coporate governace is the right thing for company. Become AP DL holders. DL-FL Pass suggestion. International park pass. Number 1. D23/DVC Customer (good one). Be a part of this great company. Grand Californian hotel. GF DVC and Aulani. Expand DVC at DL resort question. Wants expansion of them at DL. Wants DVC villa greatability at DL. Number 4. This year was actually pretty level headed compared to some of the disturbing people I've heard ask questions in past years. The Pin guy was the worst we had this year in the category of so obsessed it makes you cringe.
These meetings are little about actual business and more about fawning.. so sad.
