I'm pretty sure I read we should tip the servers at Palo when dining there. What is the suggested/customary amount for brunch & dinner? So many little things to finish up prepping before the trip....

Okee-dokee. :animwink: I'm further guessing there will be an opportunity to put this on the shipboard account? Or should I bring cash to cover it?
I'm just happy my cheapness makes you feel better, Tammy. :ROFLOL:Good! You made me feel better, Chuck! I was afraid some people were going to thing that was horribly low.

I've never been to V&A's, and haven't been to Citricos in years. . . so, out of curiosity, what's your dollar figure? In my mind Palo= Citricos and Remy=V&A so i tip according to the estimated price.

Chuck, your response was a great way to find the right perspective on figuring out how much. Thanks!
Joe, its so funny how odd it feels when a simple detail of a restaurant meal is changed from the norm. At the end of our first main dining meal on the Dream we felt like we weren't finished, like there was something more we should do before leaving. We're so used to settling a check as the final act it seemed inappropriate not to wait for something...some slip, bill, etc...from our waiter. Finally after lingering a bit longer than usual we asked Ali if he needed anything more from us. He said unless we had any alcohol or specialty beverages that he didn't know about then no. He said he'd be looking forward to seeing us again the next day. It really threw us off that first night. Silly but it makes sense. Lol! I wasn't sure if we will be presented a check even if we don't drink alcohol or specialty drinks. I would think at some point we'd need to sign something acknowledging our presence in Palo for the meal charge. It's one of the new-to-us things we look forward to....in TWO weeks! :sohappy:
According to Disney's gratuity guide gratuities are included in the cost for Palo.I'm pretty sure I read we should tip the servers at Palo when dining there. What is the suggested/customary amount for brunch & dinner? So many little things to finish up prepping before the trip....
I would have thought this was true considering there is an additional charge for eating there. I believe in tipping but generally not tipping twice. But I don't want to not tip if it is expected.According to Disney's gratuity guide gratuities are included in the cost for Palo.

I would think that whatever is tipped on top of anything that may be included will also be shared by the same people you mention. One thing is clear, if you talk to the servers onboard, they will tell you that $20 does not go directly to your server. It is split between so many people (servers, the people that clear the tables, the chefs, etc.) that no one person is getting more than a few dollars.
