They usually have an Aladdin character there though. Remember, Aladdin is from Agrabah so you can pretty much put him in any middle eastern country.
Except Morocco isn't in the Middle East... :lookaroun

Project W?!!?!
Here's a rule I always follow:
Never trust what a cast member says. They are more clueless than the person in your avatar.
No kidding. Those "rumors" the CM told those guests are not only completely wrong and totally fabricated, but they are downright fraudulent.
It's the height of unprofesionalism for a CM, on duty and wearing a uniform and nametag, to spout off lies and fabrications like that to paying customers. You would think in this Internet age that Disney would update their training and expectations a bit and clearly instruct their CM's that they are not to engage in wild speculation with paying customers, or let them in on "rumors" they heard in the break room from a crazy college program kid who spends too much time on the Internet. (Or in this case, not nearly enough time.)
Really, I have to place the blame on WDW management for this type of thing. Disney is quite clearly not training their front-line hourly CM's correctly for the 21st century and/or they have very poor front-line management of those hourly CM's. It's also apparent they don't have a clear policy in place about lying to paying customers when they should be working as a gracious pavilion host or hostess, or if there is such a policy it is not being enforced. This CM spoke to guests for "an hour-long chat" about all these lies, and no supervisor stopped him or stepped in? There was no other work to be done, or other guests to serve for an hour???
Shouldn't a CM at the France pavilion only be talking to guests about French culture and aspects of their pavilion??? Where the heck is the manager there??? :veryconfu
.

To the left, of France in the water?
I sat behind someone on the TTA who claimed to work for WDI during Space Mountains refurb. His explanation to his friends as we passed through the work in progress was hilarious.
I didn`t have the heart (or the willpower) to correct him.
I think you need to do a bit more research into CM training before you bash the system. For the most part, CMs tend to do exactly what they are trained to do in the correct fashion.
For the most part, yes, many CM's do as they are trained and paid to do.
Except when they lie about new pavilions and things they shouldn't even discuss while they prattle on during "hour long chats".
No chance Greece would sponsor a pavilion. They are in such financial turmoil they could not afford to even send someone to Disney for free.
Sometimes CMs know what they're talking a/b. But these rumors were too hard to believe and ridiculous. All that to Epcot, in 1 year, w/o being announced....yeah...
Poor CM just wanted some attention...![]()
Pavillions are not paid for by the countries they represent (with the exception of Morocco). Most were paid for by private companies from the respective countries and the others were simply paid for by Disney.
Well it's CLOSE :ROFLOL:
Just work with me here lol.
Did this CM by chance also tell you that the reasons that the center of the Swan and Dolphin are glass was because the monorail was going to go through them?![]()
Complete and utter nonsense.![]()
It's fun to see funny rumors like this pop up. Where do people come up with this stuff?
Riiighttt....
I could see working with you if you were even in the ballpark, Morocco is in Africa just south of the territory of Gibraltar. Which is by Spain.
