Wow - that is a lot of food. I did Breakfast and Dinner ADRs one year and we were ready to explode by day 3. I think you have great options in place, and can always cancel things as you go if it's too much food.

I always think its better to have the reservations, then if you need to cancel then do so. I alway cancel reservations that we are not going to use, hoping that it frees it up for someone who really needs it.

Be prepared to cancel as you go. You'll never be able to eat 3 TS meals a day. If you're on the deluxe meal plan, instead of eating 3 TS meals a day, book 2 credit meals at signature dining restaurants for dinner.

WOW I am full just reading all the great choice you have made!!! We do the deluxe plan and never eat 3 TS a day....but we do alot of Signture ADR. But I agree its better to have them and canel then not be able to get them if you want them. We use our snack credit for a on the breakfast most mornings!!!

We tend to use our snacks as breakfast as well. We are doing a lot of Signature dinning at the begining of our trip. So that's why there are a bunch of holes in dinning later on. We try to space the meals out on days we do TS for 3 meals. I'm really excited about going to Victoria & Alberts that we are celebrating my wifes birthday and will be in the Victoria room. It's actually her birthday that day, so I have V&A making her a birthday cake. The last time we were there, we celebrated our anniversary, we got married at WDW. I had them reproduced the top layer of our wedding cake.

You can get muffins, danish, bagels, coffee, milk, juice, etc. at the QS breakfast locations and bakeries. Each item is one snack credit. We usually stay at a hotel w/a fridge in the room and bring a variety pack of cereal singles in our luggage - then use milk as the snack credits and have cereal for breakfast (and make coffee in the room and use the milk for that as well).

That is a lot of food!!! I'm not sure I could do sit-downs for every meal (can't sit still that many times in the day....lol).

I do however think it is somewhat rude and inconsiderate to make ADRs with the knowledge that you are going to cancel some of them. I personally don't think that's right. Someone who only makes plans to go with 5 months b4 their trip may not be able to make certain ADRs. To each their own I guess.

We actually always book three TS meals a day, because we do the deluxe plan. I like being able to sit down and take it easy throughout the day. We've just learned not to eat half of what is on our plate...except at Kona Cafe where I confess I eat everything and they have to roll me out. I like, for once, being able to order what I want and sampling it all!

Just to clarify, I didn't make any reservations with the intent to cancel them. However when you plan things out here at home, things may happen differently when you are down in Disney. So it is better to have the reservation for places you really want to go to now, then if things change you can adjust what you are doing. Because it is so much harder to get reservations once you are at Disney. I also cancel any reservation that we don't use. To make sure that it frees it up for someone who can really use it. I think most people do this when you make reservations, your intention is to make your reservations but so many things can crop up at Disney, to expect to make every reservation is disingenuous.

That's a lot of food, but, more than that, that's a lot of time eating and away from the parks. We do 2 meals per day and a snack. This July will be the first time we do 2 sit downs, but the QS makes us gag. Our ADRs are spread way apart. I don't want to be a downer so I'll close by saying have a great trip! Take lots of food pics, especially at V&A.

March 23rd. Arrive at WDW
B - No Reservation
L - No Reservation- Artist Palette - This is one of the better quick service, food is always good.
D - T-RexThe food was much better then on past trips. Still incredibly loud but my son enjoyed the Dinosaurs.

March 24th - Magic Kingdom
B - Crystal PalaceBest way to meet characters, get into MK early and have an enjoyable breakfast.
L - Cinderella's Royal TableFood was much better then previous visit. Of course you go for the princesses.
D - Luau at PolynesianFirst time and it was immensely pleasurable. The food was great, the entertainment was great. We really enjoyed this.

March 25th- Epcot
B - Chef MickeysOne of the better buffets and Mickey Mouse comes to your table.
L - Le Chef de France -Biergarten, we needed a new reservation because we added 4 more people. Food was fantastic, the show was great. Highly recommend to everyone.
D - Flying Fish- Simply one of the best restaurants at WDW period. Can eat here every single time we visit.

March 26th - Water Park
B - No ReservationKona Cafe, after visit the Luau our guest wanted more Polynesian. Was great as always, especially the coffee and Tonga Toast
L - TS @ Water Park-We rented a Beach Comber Shack and really enjoyed it. Our attendant took our order and delivered our lunch. Food was okay.
D - CitricosWe love eating here but tonight was not a good night. The service was super slow, took forever to get our appetizers. However the food was great as always. We were celebrating my mother-in-laws 70th birthday and we had a Minney Mouse cake for her. That was really cool.

March 27th - Resort/Pool Day
B - Whispering Canyon Cafe- Fun as always, had the same server from last time and he's crazy. Saw my wife's birthday pin and of course made the entire restaurant sing happy birthday to her.
L - No Reservation
D - Victoria & Alberts-To celebrate my wife's birthday we ate in the Queen Victoria room. Never thought that V&A could get any better but it did. To have the 10 course Chefs Table menu, it was amazing. Our servers Jack and Sherry were great.

March 28th - Hollywood StudiosResort day, severe thunder storms
B - TS @ ResortArtist Palette
L - 50's Prime Time CafeEarl of Sandwich
D - Hollywood & VineCap'n Jack's - First time eating here, food was better then I expected. Our server was a saint, our son had a huge melt down and we had to book. She was great.

March 29th - Animal Kingdom-Hollywood Sudios
B - Tusker HouseHollywood & Vine - I think this maybe the best buffet at WDW. It was the best tasting, freshest of all the ones we had.
L - TS @ AKStudios Catering Co. - Probably the worst meal we had the entire time.
D - California Grill- Another great meal, love eating here.
Tomorrowland Firework Dessert PartyThis is quickly becoming a favorite. Love the fireworks vantage point and being away from the crush of the crowd.

March 30th - Resort/Pool Day
B - Kona Cafe- Artist Palette
L - TS @ ResortArtist Palette
D - Raglan RoadWolfgang Puck's Express - Some severe Thunderstorms rolled thought just as we were about to leave for our reservation. They were gone just as our reservation was about to begin and we couldn't make it on time. We love WPX, think it is without a doubt the best QS restaurant in all of WDW.

March 31st - Leave WDW

I think I did pretty good, not doing reservations 180 days out.

Well were back and I have the updated reservations/where we actually ate at and how everything was report. Due to several factors, including some severe weather we had to make some changes to our dinning reservations.

Thanks for the follow-up! It's always nice to see how things turned out and get up to date reviews.

I'm going to try CaliGrill for the first time on my next trip; DH is a bit nervous about it, becuase he is not an adventurous eater. I'm going to try calling ahead to make sure he can switch side dishes without upsetting the chef (for instance, if the menu says "sweet potatoes" which he doesn't eat, he will ask to sub mashed potatoes and it's never a problem at regular table service, but this will be our first Signature experience)

Sorry about the weather--I was there earlier this month and it was cold, but damaging thunderstorms are another level entirely!! At least you know you'll be back again soon to "make up for lost time" thanks to DVC!

T-Rex - Planning to try this one on our next trip.
Crystal Palace - Have only eaten there for dinner, but I hear the breakfast is good too!
Cinderella's Royal Table - Have only eaten here for breakfast & it is wonderful!
Spirit of Aloha - Have never done this dinner show; we have done Hoop Dee Doo Revue & Mickey's Backyard BBQ.
Chef Mickeys - Have only eaten there for dinner, but I hear the breakfast is good too!
Whispering Canyon Cafe - Have only eaten there for dinner & it is a lot of fun!
50's Prime Time Cafe - Have never eaten there, but I hear it is a lot of fun.
Hollywood & Vine - Good choice.
Tusker House - Donald's Safari Breakfast is one of my favorites!
California Grill - Have never eaten there, but I would love to.

You did really well for not booking 180 days out!!!

You can switch sides, I did it with my meal. I switched my sweet potatoes for the risotto.
