I booked 1900 Park Fare for a character breakfast in January before our day at Magic Kingdom. I have heard a lot of people say that the Crystal Palace has a great breakfast, but we went there for dinner already in May and I would like to try out a new place. Plus I love Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter:) Any advice would be great!!!

We had 1900 Park Fare for breakfast years ago. The food wasn't anything noteworthy. The big perk to Crystal Palace and the reason I always book it is because if you book a time before the park opens you get that magical time on Main Street without a whole lot of other people around.

I prefer 1900 PF for dinner because I loved being able to meet Prince Charming, Cindy's step mother, Anastasia, & Drizella.

Have you tried Chef Mickey's?

We have been to all the Character breakfasts and the only one we did not enjoy was the Lilo and Stitch breakfast at Ohana. 1900 PF was not as good as Chef Mickeys in our opinion but we were not disappointed in any aspect of the meal.

I wanted to EDIT this right after posting, but the site went down for maintenance, so...

As far as Crystal Palace goes, it was very enjoyable and like sweetpee said I have a sweet shot of the kids alone on Main St. in front of the castle. The food and atmosphere was comparable to Chef Mickeys we thought. I beleive the characters did a sog or a mrach with the kids like at Chef Mickeys too.

We loved it!

We have 2 boys and they were very sweet with Mary Poppins and Alice. The characters took time to talk with them (awesome Mary- they talked baseball). My boys really like the omlette station and the breakfast pizza. I recommend the bread pudding with vanilla sauce :lookaroun. We've been to most of the character breakfasts and this was very good because the kids could verbally interact, where at Chef Mickey's it was more of a party and silliness with the characters.

I haven't had a bad breakfast at Disney- they all win in my book, just for different reasons and a t different points in our family's lives.

We don't care so much about being on an empty Main Street, but rather, we like being able to stand at the rope at Adventureland or FantasyLand and get a headstart on everyone else waiting way back at the Train Station when the ropes drop. That's one of the reasons we like to do the Crystal Palace breakfast. I'm thinking of trying that strategy at DHS next time as well, by booking an 8 AM (or thereabouts) breakfast at Hollywood and Vine. When 9 AM hits and everyone else is waiting back at the entrance, we'll already be in the park.

I have to agree, go with Chef Mickey's for breakfast and 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

We were at the FL ropes once when the flood came in. It was crazy watching the stampede to Dumbo. That was like a show in itself. LOL!

We went to 1900 Park Fare as our last character meal in 2009. We had done quite a few character meals (our first visit to WDW)...Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, Akershus, Hollywood & Vine. 1900 Park Fare and Akershus were our favourites. 1900 Park Fare is in a beautiful resort, a relaxed atmosphere compared with others, my kids were 10 and 7, and really got a kick out of Mad Hatter and his antics! They also loved Mary Poppins. The food was really good, we thought better than Crystal Palace. We had to wait so long to get into Crystal Palace even with the ADR that it kinda took the wind out of our sails for that one. We are going back to WDW next month and will return to 1900 Park Fare, but won't go back to Crystal Palace....... We think you've made a good choice!

variety of characters.....

We ate at 1900 PF on our last trip and we enjoyed it. The food was good and plentiful and we enjoyed it a lot. I found there was a bigger variety of characters at theis buffet than some of the others we've been to. The only downside was that it was pretty crowded but we still had a wonderful time. :)

Our experience at 1900 PF breakfast was a very nice setting, great for meeting the characters and a good breakfast selection (albeit slightly inferior to the offering at CP). Both are way supierior to Chef Mickeys.

Crystal Palace is the BEST breakfast buffet for food. Anybody telling you otherwise clearly has not experienced the full variety WDW offers.

That being said, it is all bucket head characters. If you really want interaction, Princess breakfast in Norway is fun for little girls, but 1900 Park Fare is by far the most fun and skews a little older and not so gender specifics. The variety of food is limited, but the quality is more upscale and brave in presentation. A few more exotic flavors will offer you something different from your standard WDW food court food.

Crystal Palace is my all time favorite for breakfasts, however 1900 is a close second. I'm a huge Mary Poppins fan and love that there is finally something recognizing her. Her interaction with Pooh and the Alice in Wonderland characters are great. And the food isn't bad either!

We have eaten breakfast at:
Cinderella's Royal Table (excellent food & character interaction)
Ohana's Best Friends (excellent food & character interaction)
Donald's Safari (good food & character interaction)
Tony's Town Square (great food & character interaction)

On our next trip, we are planning to eat breakfast at:
1900 Park Fare (have eaten dinner there & it was good)

Sometime would like to eat breakfast at:
The Crystal Palace (have eaten dinner there & it was good)
Chef Mickey's (have eaten dinner there & it was good)

We had the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare last October and found it thoroughly enjoyable. My favorite thing on the buffet was the strawberry soup - YUM! DS (10) loved the Mickey waffles, and DD (7) loved decorating her pancakes with MnMs and whatnot. The rest of the food was good, not standout good but good. However, the unusual characters definitely made the meal. Mad Hatter was a riot. And Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland were a rare treat. The resort is beautiful. I'd recommend the breakfast.

I love 1900 Park Fare for breakfast...in fact we do it everytime. The food is great (eggs benedict with a lobster and citrus hollandaise :slurp:). Also, as previously stated the interaction with the characters is top notch. I would highly suggest it.

We love breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. The made to order omelet station is awesome but the best thing on the menu is the warm bread pudding with warm vanilla sauce on top! I can eat it til I'm sick it's so good! Wish I had some right now!:slurp:

We've eaten at both for breakfast and enjoyed them both! You can't go wrong with a character breakfast in Disney. We also enjoy walking through MK before the crowds and craziness. Some of my all time favorite Disney photos we've taken while walking in MK before breakfast at CP. Last year we ate breakfast there on our last morning before heading home. It was a nice way to see Cinderella's castle one last time before heading out. Have fun!

1900 PK character breakfast was good. I didn't know what to expect from Mad Hatter, but it was all good. The food was okay, nothing stood out to me, but we were there for the characters, not the food. Hopefully the next trip, we'll be able to enjoy the food at our meals!
