Went to Magic Kingdom this afternoon. Here are some pictures that I took of construction progress being made in Fantasyland:

First, scaffolding has been put up around the tree that was moved in front of Winnie the Pooh:

Also, the walls in front of Pooh have expanded and now completely block off the fastpass distribution location (fastpasses are now available at the machines in front of Mickey's Philharmagic):

Progress is also being made on the Peter Pan facade. Notice the new color scheme:

Also, it now looks as though they are working on the area near the fastpass distribution machines. It looks as though some of the signage has been removed:

I actually like the new colors on the Peter Pan facade. They are very bright and vibrant, but it looks like it is still a work in progress. That's all for now.

Much appreciated pics.

Does anyone know why the tree would need to have scaffolding already? Are they going to attach new signage to it? Or are they changing the leaves? It looks to be in fine shape so that's a bit confusing.

WOW! Its finally on par with the Disneyland version.
NOT!

Yeah, there's still a noticeable difference between the exterior at Disneyland USA. :D

But, I do like the new color scheme for the WDW version. It's much better than the fuschia and orange that was there before. It's classier looking now, not as garish.

I don't know, but for some reason I really like the one at Disney World. I feel the Disney Land one is trying for a more realistic 19th century look. While WDW version seems to be going for a more pop up story book kinda feel.

That scaffolding looks like it was a pain in the butt to install around the tree! Yikes!

I was thinking the same thing! I know nothing about scaffolding but I'm in the middle of new home construction and I watched our crew put up and take down the scaffolding a few times now. It looks like a lot of work... I wouldn't want to see them putting it up with tree branches going everywhere!

Excuse my annonce... but comparing the Peter Pan facade to the one in DL is getting a little old now! Yes, yes, we all know everyone loves the facade in DL. Can we just discuss the change as it relates to the one that was there before!?!
With that being said, I don't mind our Peter Pan facade... and I think the paint job is a big improvement to what was there before (of course I haven't seen it in person yet but it looks nicer in the photos I've seen).

Thanks for the update and pics!

While the DL facade(s) is nice, color-wise fantasyland is a tad monotone and dull. Our fantasyland, even before the expansion, isn't bad by any means. The grass doesn't always have to be greener on the other side.

I know the conversation has shifted to Pan, but I'd just like to say that Pooh is absolutely nuts right now. The temporary queue has problems.

First off, the Return and Greeter CMs have to stand at the end of those ropes, and there often is no Greeter CM, meaning that if someone has to transfer to a wheelchair, Return has to leave the fastpass return entrance to get one for them from the old entrance. The fastpass return no longer has a chain across the entrance like it used to, so if Return isn't there or is swamped with guests, anyone can just walk right in. Because the signs are way back against the tree, no one can tell which line is which. I can't tell you how many guests yesterday got all the way to the front of the fastpass line with no fastpasses.

Another problem is that because the CMs at the front have to stand so far away from the old entrance, there's no way for them to hear or scan FLIK cards without walking 20 feet from their post. And if they do try to FLIK, they have to walk through each line just to get to the cards and scanner. When I got there yesterday, the wait time said 50, for quite a long time, when it was really more like 20, because there was no way to utilize the FLIK system.

Apparently it's going to be this way for two weeks, then it will be changed around, hopefully making it better, not worse.

Hmmm...maybe they could add clouds to the blue...which would make the "attraction name" cloud appear to be the closest of the clouds.

I like it better than it was before.

Wow peter pan is looking so much nicer and classier. Actually less medieval fair now and bit more European. Yeah not like Disneyland, but a well done step up than what it was.

Painting clouds in the blue "sky" around the sign would be a great idea and would definitely add to the 3D effect of Peter Pan the gang flying out at you. The blue looks great, but there's too much openness on the facade. Maybe add some edging or other decorative features??? Fake stone work and vines???

I know I am going to be blasted as dumb... but if you had never been to disneyland before... how would you know that was peter pan's flight?
