Was just wondering if anyone knows if the refurb is going well. Was this just the normal yearly cleaning or were they fixing some of the on-again-off-again AA's also? Thanks for any info as usual.

Cleaning, painting, maintenance, and new lift hills were included, and I don't think we've gotten any indication it is not on time.

Lap Bars are in place, from what I have been told.
Ut oh... really? :brick:
Had a friend tell me they were seen being worked on, so yep.I'm reserving judgement, but they were tight enough as it is. I'm 6"3 and OWCH. I can't see this helping the situation.
I feel your pain....
I guess they're trying to stop handing out FPs to "Flash" Mountain.....
Pain, literally.
And what about Flash Mountain?:lookaroun

Some times I wish I was taller than 5' 6"... but then when I think about some of the rides at Disney, I feel blessed. How in the world do you cram on Space Mountain or BTMRR?
I guess I understand why the lapbars are needed, but it's going to slow down the load time (even more) and probably decrease the capacity (if they are individual lapbars). Does anyone know if it's going to be one big lap bar across or are they making it 2 per row only now? I used to see a lot of parents take their kids with them in the same row and sit them between them. Will this deter that from happening?

My friend seemed pretty confident that they were on there, seeing he saw them. :lol:Man, Splash is really getting lapbars? I was hoping that was just an out there rumor. I guess it'll be one of those wait and experience and see type things. Would they be there more to keep people in than safety?
Well, I guess it had to happen but that doesn't mean that I have to be happy about it. Hopefully they won't make too much difference in the ride. I'll be interested to see what type of lab bars they will be. Thanks for the update anyway.
Yep. This came out last year. Try a search for a photo of prototype testing :wave:Man, Splash is really getting lapbars? I was hoping that was just an out there rumor. I guess it'll be one of those wait and experience and see type things. Would they be there more to keep people in than safety?
