What would you change about the new Fantasyland?

Yes.
To your standards there is nothing modern to POTC, HM any of the DAK stuff you added.
LMA is a show so if we are including thos EC has AA the biggest show Disney has ever done.
There is nothing major about Philhar it is a C-ticket, AI is also a C-ticket,

PotC got new some AAs and featured a modern movie tie-in. HM has updated effects and looks 10x better.
FotLK and FN:TM use a modern movie and use innovative techniques you wouldn't normally expect in a theatrical show.
LMA and American Idol are still relatively modern- one being from American's favorite TV show according to ratings and the other uses modern effects and innovation to do the stunts.
It doesn't have to be an E-ticket to be major. Is Dumbo not a major attraction? Or TSMM? Or Muppet Vision?
And American Adventure may have been Disney's biggest show- I don't know much about it myself- but I have seen it once and it def seemed retro. It could use a nice HoP update to really make it pop imho.

You say POTC got new AA's... Ok DUring the SSE refurb of 07 all AA"s were brought up to date so add SSE to your list. LIving With the LAnd just had a refurb and all of the Green Houses are up to date.
AI is not a major attraction, niether is anything you added from DAK they are not major attractions.

It reminded me of when I originally saw Hall of Presidents around 2000.
You can't honestly tell me the show couldn't use some nice updated effects. :shrug:

Yes, I can honestly say that. The animatronics in the show are still so ahead of their time.
Ben walks up the stairs, Mark Twain smokes, etc.

Are we really having an argument on here about what makes an attraction modern?
Looking at Epcot, it really only has two rides that always have long waits (Soarin' and Test Track). The advantage that Epcot has, is the capacity of that park (with all of the restaurants and rides/attractions) often exceeds the demand. Epcot draws 2/3rds of the crowds that the Magic Kingdom does, and it seems that it's capacity is comparable. The result is shorter lines for it's attactions.
The target audience (children/families) for The Seas with Nemo and Friends, probably spends more time in Fantasyland on their average vacation than they do in Future World. For that reason, if The Seas with Nemo and Friends was in Fantasyland, it would generate longer waits.

I agree with the arguements here that the MK is really starting to feel like a kiddie park. Last time I was there, everything felt so sugary sweet that afterwards I realy felt the need to go home and watch a super violent R rated movie. :lol:

Magic Kingdom has always tilted a little more (maybe more now than when the park started) to the kids and DAK probably leans more that way as well.

Although I agree, Animal Kingdom does have elements of Epcot as well, where it succeeds in the Edutainment area by virtue of the focal point of the park.

The only thing it needs is perhaps a new scene that takes a bit further in time. As it is, it is still one of the most technically advanced shows in WDW or even in any Disney Park. And upkeep is fantastic. Everything looks fine.

Here's what I count:
Mission: Space
Test Track
Soarin'
American Adventure
SSE and UoE have so much potential- but I feel they aren't the must-dos that maybe you'd see on a billboard or on the front panflette of the park guide map.
